Reinstall of RC4

Featured Replies

Hi: I had to rebuild my PC and start from scratch to reinstall everything. I wanted to reinstall RC4. I already have FSUIPC on my PC and do not want to over write my FSUIPC version with the one provided with RC4. I do not see that as an option in the install choices. How does one get around this? Thanks, Al

if your fsuipc.dll is newer than what i'm about to install, i don't install itjd

jd: Thanks. Sorry but I am still a little confused.1.First, what version of FSUIPC is in RC4.exe? How do I check?2.Please clarify your response above. What do you mean by "I don't install it" Do you mean if the fsuipc.dll that I now have is newer than what is in RC4.exe then the exe. program will not install it or do you have to do something that prevents it from being installed? 1) 3.75 - but it doesn't matter. if there is a 3.8 on your machine, i'm not going to over write it. if you have 3.5, i'm going to overwrite it, since 3.75 is newer2) see 1

Thanks again. But it does matter to me. I have many settings on my FSUIPC. I don't want them overwritten because I do not want to generate them again. How can I save my FSUIPC information and put it back in after I install RC4? Do you know if there is a FSUIPC file that can be saved before I do the installation? Al

i'm not touching your .ini file, where your settings are. i'm updating fsuipc.dll if necessarycopy the modules directory off someplace, before you install rc, if it is a concern.i think you'll see, that i don't mess with your settings, only the .dll if it is older than the one i need.

Thank you very much for this clarification. Much appreciated. Al

FSUIPC version not changed. Settings unchanged. I am now awaiting the activation key #. Thanks, Al
