September 7, 200718 yr I've just recently started flying into larger, more complex airports because I finally got a computer that can handle the performance hit of a complex add on plane, addon traffic at busy major airports (Chicago O'hare or Denver Int'l are common ones for me).Anyhow, I did a flight yesterday into O'hare and I had a 747 taxiing across the runway as I'm being cleared to land - bad news lol. Also the other day I had a 757 come screaming out of nowhere on a crossing runway like 300' in front of me as I was on rollout. Another instance is I was flying my ATR on final outside the marker at KLAX and had a 737 go shooting under me as I'm intercepting the glideslope, it proceeds to land on the runway I was just cleared to land on. What gives?Don't get me wrong I love the program, makes ATC much more realistic than the default ATC (I'm a pilot in RL) but some of these quirks are annoying to me, as I like my FS9 as realistic as possible.Any advice?
September 7, 200718 yr Commercial Member v4 doesn't handle ai on runways that cross yours very well. i actually try to get you onto the same runway as the ai are using. did you happen to change the runway choice you were given, or did you predefine a runway to use at startup time?jd JD Read my blog

Any ideas on this or ideas on the plane on the same approach as me passing right under me?
September 7, 200718 yr Commercial Member when i pick the runway at 70 miles out, there may not be many ai within range landing there, so i pick the runway based on wind, equipment and lengththe ai do there own method of picking and choosing. and by the time you get closer, they are landing on a different runway.without a log, it is only guessing at what happened in both situationsjd JD Read my blog
