Unable to reinstall FSUIPC4.16 with RC4.3

Featured Replies

Installed FSX on Windows Vista (Business) computer. Installed RC 4.3 and the included FSUIPC4 and although slow, everything loaded and ran correctly. Installed 737PIC (Pilot In Command) for FSX and then loaded a .PLN (to RC 4.13) and got an IPC bad data error. Got all the updates (FSX SP1, SDK SP1A, FSUICP4.16).Opening FSX, I cannot get a "Add_on" on the menu bar now. I removed ALL programs from the hard drives and reloaded systematically (reinstalled FSX, then 737PIC, then RC4.3). Everything reloaded fine EXCEPT RC4.13.While it installs FSUIPC4, as it displays "...There is a previous DLL.XML, checking for FSUIPC4 section..." Vista reports an error that the "FSUIPC4 installer has stopped working". Closing the Vista window closes the entire program. This is not my first attempt at this issue. Checked other forums and one suggested to delete the WinSxSx86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.60905.0_x-ww_429211e9.Using SP1, this folder is changed and removing it is not an option.I'm lost as to what to do next. Any suggestions (and links) would be greatly appreciated.

do you have fsx sp1 installed? i think you need that, before you install 4.16jd

FSX SP1 was installed right after installing FSX (Deluxe). It seems to be a SimConnect issue, but don't know enough about it to determine where to start looking. I know FSUIPC4.16 installs other DLL files (there not placed in the FSX/Modules folder), but know have the list to begin looking for them.
