October 30, 200718 yr Hi,ok, I will shut the FW down and try again. However, here http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=57233 it says that it should have no longer any firewall issues?I should also mention that I have Acceleration installed. Will report back.EDIT: Shutting the fw down didn't help. October 30, 200718 yr Perhaps it's also worth noting that I actually run the french version of FSX and french version of Acceleration ,,, could it make any difference?
October 30, 200718 yr Commercial Member that would be a question for pete dare you running english vista?are you running rc from the shortcut or .exe by right mouse clicking it, and then clicking run as administrator?maybe try running fsx as administrator, in the same way, see what happens.i run fsx, accelerator, fsuipc, rc, vista 64 bit without issue.jd JD Read my blog
October 31, 200718 yr Hi,yes, the vista is english, and I run the RC as administrator. When I tried to run FSX itself as administrator, I managed to launch RC. (I still haven't got the window popped up, but it was already too late to RTM). At least it ran.I noticed that my FSX/Modules directory was set as read-only. When I finish contributing to swiss GDP today, I will try to set it up manually as read-write and see if it helps. (I'd like to avoid running FSX as admin). The saga will continue in a couple of hours. Juraj
November 6, 200718 yr Hi,ok, so the problem was that the fsuipc registered itself only for admin. Why, I don't know. Copying the fsuipc section from admin's dll.xml onto my own solved the problem. Now time to get busy :).Thanks for an excellent product!
