I seem to be having the same problem repeatedly, where FSX crashes back to dektop at the moment in flight when RC asks if you have Arrival ATIS info. When I choose negative,couple of seconds later the CTD occurs.I am running XP (SP2) ,FSX,ASX and FSC with RC. All works perfect until Arrival info. Also using latest FSUIPC ver 4 4.20.

are there any other controllers (ground, tower, departure) that have the same frequency as arrival atis?if so, change arrival atis to something else on the controller's page.there is a bug in fs, that causes the crash when arrival atis is the same as another earlier frequenciesjd

I will try this. Just a simple 'newbie' question, you achieve this change via the controllers page, do you have to do any clever editing of files, AFCADS etc? Do you have to manually edit the frequency each time or does RC 'save' the change?

Its the latest available from Pete Dowson, 4.20. However, I have since tested again and found the CTD occurs at exactly the same point in flight, as I respond to the request for confirmation of approach /weather. Tried both an 'affirm' and 'negative' response and still CTD. Have just completely re-installed RC, will try again.

didn't need to reinstall. make sure you have the latest fsuipc, or let me know what version you're running.as far as your email, it's hit or miss with that address. send it to [email protected]

Replaced latest FSUIPC 4.2 with 4.16 and same flight completed no problems!

i thought it was fixedalways keep fsuipc, widefs, wideserver, makerwys, etc up to date!in v5, i will make it easier to check the statuses of all these thingsjd

Flew repeat 'check'flight again with ASX running in background and all ok, seems odd that the 'older' version of FSUIPC (4.16) works but newer versions are causing my problem apparently? FSUIPC was the only variable item that changed the outcome of the flight at the point where approach ask if you have approach/weather info. Flight Plan, aircraft even time of day was repeated throughout.Anyway just glad I am back up and running!!:-newbie
