December 31, 200718 yr I just reinstalled RC4 and the links in the release notes for the 4.0 to 4.1 patch and 4.1 to 4.2 patch aren't working. The 4.2 to 4.3 is fine. Any chance you can get them up an running? Thanks.

February 7, 200818 yr I'm in the same boat. I found a 4.0 to 4.01 link, but can't find a link for 4.01 to 4.2. I'd really rather stop at 4.2 as the difference of 4.3 (the XML support for FSX) isn't needed by me (running FS9 only). I'd also like to avoid a 600mb+ download. :)Thanks in advance!Ralph [email protected]. As I was only using 4.0 before, I'm hoping the updates fix the 'niner' problem. It seems like a small thing, but hearing nine instead of niner is somewhat disconcerting and kinda blows the immersion process away. :)
February 7, 200818 yr Commercial Member i just sent you an email. you're better off get 4.3 and installing itwhat is the niner problem? there are instances where niner is absolutely correct. it also depends on where you fly.did you notice that if you are flying in non usa airspace, that when the heading ends in a zero, that "degrees" is appended to the heading. if it is non zero, or the heading is a multiple of 100, then there is no "degrees"you never hear degrees in usa airspace.now that is immersionjd JD Read my blog
February 7, 200818 yr Without trying to start an argument, the phonetic alphabet for either ICAO or the FAA requires us to use 'niner' instead of nine and 'fife' instead of five, etc. All I was commenting on was that I never hear 'niner' as it's supposed to be said in RC. As a private pilot student, it was hard to get to where saying 'niner' was automatic (I still screw it up sometimes :)). I really like the RC product and in no way am I disparaging ya'll's work, just this little quirk seems like it should never have happened.I have noticed that the addition of degrees varies, but it does happen in the RW, it seems dependent on who is the controller. We have one guy in the JAX ARTCC who adds it every time and there is a controller in the ATL ARTCC who I don't think I have ever heard him say degrees. Since either is approved in the AIM, I'd just have to guess it's a matter of personality. Thanks again and keep up the good work!Ralph D.
