Run-time Error 9 occurs when i run RC4

Featured Replies

i've been working for hours trying to get the latest version of RC4 to work with FSX. Everytime i click Run RC4, the error below pops up and closes RC4.Run-time Error 9RadarContact.rcv4module.initializeI i really don't want to have to scrap the whole project, but it's getting close to happening haha. I've followed the install directions and don't know what else to do. Marc

have you modified any .csv files with excel?anything else that might have happened?did you uninstall RC prior to installing v4.3?are you running vista? vista 64?if vista, you have to right mouse click the shortcut, or .exe, and run as administratorjd

i just redid my computer so it's all a clean install. I am running XP and i have not edited any of the .csv files. What i did do was let RC do the update by itself, rather then download each individual patch and install them 1 by 1. I know it said that you should not go from the 4.0 to 4.3. Could this be the reason for my problem?I appreciate the help.

there were clear instructions for each update. it wasn't something that was just doing a replace.send me an email, i'll send you a link to the 4.3 download, and you can uninstall, and install straight to 4.3and yes, that is why i said, don't go from 4.0 to 4.3jd
