Run-time error "75" - Path/File access error

Featured Replies

Hi,I have just re-installed RCv4 onto my PC and cannot run it due to the Run-time error "75" Path/File access error. This error occurs when I use Controller Info facility in RCv4. RCv4 worked OK previously on my WideFS PC, but recently I had a few problems running Gound Environment Pro/ActiveSky with WideClient. After many days without success I completely re-installed GEPro/ActivSky and RCv4. NOW ONLY RCv4 DOES NOT RUN ON WIDEFS !!!!I have looked for similar problems posted previously on here but to no avail. I was wondering wether I am missing the point somewhere. For the record I run RCv4 updated to 4.2.3831 on Windows XP. I have mapped the network drives accordingly and checked that I have sharing options set to read/write on each of the directories on the FS9 PC. I have checked for the latest RCv4 updates and run the Rebuild Scenery DB option in RCv4. All to no avail. Which directory path should RCv4 be set to in the FLT.WX Path option? Is this causing the problem (although I have tried various paths here but still no joy.....).Please HELP !!!Regards, Alan

Hi,Fixed it..........I've just removed and then re-mapped all the network drives on my WideFS PC and RCv4 now runs OK Weheeeeeeeeeeee.Regards,

you may have set the share permissions to read/write, but did you set the security settings, so you can write to that directory?also, is there any firewalls running on either machine, that might be preventing you from writing to that directory?have you clicked on the .flt/.wx button, and specified and drive letter, drive letter and path, or a unc path?can you copy a file from the rc machine to the fs machine, where you've defined the .flt/.wx files?there is a section in the manual on how to set it up. the 4.3 manual can be found here www.jdtllc.com/v4/rcv43.pdfjd
