February 14, 200818 yr I would really appreciate a walkthrough as to how to save and reload RC flights. I just can't get them to work properly.I am using RC on a client PC via WideFS if that is making a difference ?
February 14, 200818 yr Commercial Member make sure the path specified in the .flt/.wx dialog box, is accessible, read/write, you have permissions to read and write to itwhen you are flying in fs, and you hit ; and save a .flt, rc also saves a .rcd file in that .flt/.wx directory with the same name. there will be a .wx file as wellnext time you start fs, and rc, you click the button to load the .rcd, find it in the dialog boxoff you go.if this isn't happening, create two logs. one when you create the saved .rcdand one for when you load the .rcdalso, keep in mind, that you can't save .rcd's with most third party planes. they don't load properly.jd JD Read my blog
February 15, 200818 yr Ah...that's the problem. When I try to load a rcd file...none can be found - most - if not all - are using 3rd party addons. So will this be fixed any time ? Such a shame really especially as I'd hoped to get it all working with FS Recorder !!I think one workaround will obviously be when you enable flight plans to be filed mid-flight- obviously this would just let me restart a saved flight - possibly via FSRecorder, and then refile my flightplan to carry on from where I am.And that will be in the next update I assume, along with VFR plans !!!! Will it ? I'd be happy to pay a little for that sort of update as clearly a lot of work will be rewuired.Thnx for the speedy response anyway.where can I get a Supporter banner for my site ?
February 15, 200818 yr Commercial Member it's really the complexity of the plane that can't start in flight.supporter banner:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...mesg_id=1&page=jd JD Read my blog
February 17, 200818 yr Hi,Okay. So does that mean that some 3rd party planes (the more simple one's) may work ? Or is designed to save only for defaults ?
February 17, 200818 yr Commercial Member without rc runningif you can save a flight by hitting ;and then later load the flight from the fs menu, then rc will be able to do the sameit all depends on the planejd JD Read my blog
