Hi,Base on my flying history starting with RCV 3 with FS9 and RCV 4.3 with FS9 & FSX, until now i never get permission from the controller to maintained my speed decent beyond 250 knots below 10,000 ft even there is no other aircraft (i set traffic at 0%). anybody try and managed to get the permission? or maybe something that i miss? some situation i need to maintained high speed decent for number one approach. Search on relief in the RC manual .pdf. It is not a function of traffic density. You must have filed as a aircraft type heavy in your plan. FAA and ICAO may behave slightly differently.
