Aerosoft has done a major overhaul from top to bottom for its Twin Otter. It is a complete new development altogether and this new high-end add-on is now available for the Microsoft Flight Simulator as the "Twin Otter Extended"
The new development of the turbines, the cockpit instruments as well as the hydraulic and electronic systems has taken place in an intense co-operation with the Canadian aircraft supplier Viking Air, a specialist in the manufacturing of Twin Otter aircraft. Tons of expertise and the love of detail has also come from the Twin Otter specialist André Äpfelbach.
The De Havilland DHC-6 alias Twin Otter is a Turboprop with STOL- short take-off and landing capabilities and has been used in really tough conditions all over the world (crossing the north- and the south-pole). It is the perfect plane for adventurous PC pilots who enjoy approaching small airfields or strips. Rookies and professionals in the flight sim world- they will all be thrilled by the superb detail and high resolution, be it in the Microsoft Flight Simulator or in Prepar3D. Aerosoft has again given a top performance in development with the end result being a Twin Otter ready for take-off!
The pre-release version with three included models will be available on the 10th July 2013 for all of you who can´t wait. A free update will then deliver the remaining models.
