Ocean Airlines
Highlights
This DVD was sold out for quite some time and after viewing it for the first time; I can see why this DVD was quite popular when it was first released.
Ocean Airlines was a cargo airline which operated a fleet of 747-200s. In this DVD we join the flight crew as they fly cargo to destinations such as Bescia, Hong Kong and Almaty. We start off with clips of the 747 being loaded for its first flight to Hong Kong. During this first leg of our trip, some of the highlights included position reports over various locations enroute and the overall presentation on the procedures involved in flying this aircraft. While in Hong Kong you will also enjoy a tour of the 747 interior as well as clips of the aircraft being off loaded and loaded for its next flight to Almaty.
During our second leg, the most significant highlight of both the trip and the entire DVD was the cockpit presentation, flight engineer’s presentation and an external walkaround after landing in Almaty. All of these presentations were very informative and very in-depth. In fact, the cockpit presentation is so thorough that it continues even into the final leg from Almaty to Brescia.
Overall this was a great DVD and a must have for anyone who loves the 747 classics.

Qatar Airways
Highlights
The Qatar Airways DVD is jam packed with incredible footage of the operation of this growing airline. I enjoyed the first flight featuring the A330 to London which was very insightful and it will no doubt captivate the attention of you Airbus fans.
The first flight features briefings from both the pilots and cabin crew, great views from the cockpit on approach to London and a very educational cockpit presentation on the return flight to Doha. Following our return to Doha, the CEO of Qatar Airways takes the time to inform the viewers about the history and fast pace growth of the airline. In his presentation he also covers the goals of the airline and the fleet planning for the years to come.
The next segment of this DVD covers the A320 operations to destinations such as Damascus, Khartoum, Kuwait and Beirut. If you have never had the opportunity to see these regions before, this DVD gives you the perfect vantage point of these intriguing destinations. Some of the highlights of these flights were the approach briefings, cabin service presentations, position reports and some very scenic views from the cockpit.
Overall, this is a good DVD and I think it will definitely appeal to many of you who are interesting in Qatar Airways and Airbus aircrafts.

Swiss A340
Highlights
The flights featured in this DVD take us on a round trip from Zurich to Bangkok and Singapore. By far this is one of the best A340 DVDs released by Just Planes and I think everyone will enjoy it. The flight crew was very friendly and informative to the viewers. At almost every opportunity they had, the flight crew took the time to explain various aspects of their duties and various features of the A340.
One of the highlights of this DVD apart from the flying itself was the tour of Bangkok. This segment of the DVD truly stirs a desire to visit this fascinating country. Other highlights included cockpit presentations, aircraft walkaround presentations and very scenic views from the cockpit during each phase of flight.
In the end, this DVD will leave you with a profound appreciation for the workload involved in flying these long haul aircrafts. It is no short order to fly through territories with very strict regulations and cross multiple time zones in a single flight. An example of how taxiing and the busy workload can be is seen in the final VOR approach to Zurich which I think many of you may enjoy.
Overall this is a great DVD and one I would definitely recommend.
