I just built a new computer and tried the FSX demo and with almost all the sliders at least 85% and AI trafic at 50% all around and 1280 by 1024 X32 I get around 30 plus frames and very smooth flight, the best I ahve ever had. In addition I have every addon for fs9 you can imagine and as an example I have the Imagine Denver scenery with all the AI ect in a thunderstorm with Level D 767 and I still get 30 plus locked frames. I tried unlimited and saw frame rates as high as 110 and as low as 28. I was almost loosing interest as I had good performace before for my 2.4 Pentium but never really what I wanted and now it is a whole new ballgame and I love it. Now to the system.Intel Core2Duo E 6600 with ASUS P5B mother board LGA775 FSB1066MHZ.2gig of DDR2 PC6400 Dual OCS 800MHZ with the Platinum HeatSpreader.EGeForce 7900GT KO 256MB video card nothing overclocked and a 500 watt Enermax Liberty power supply with 22amps at 12volts as that is waht the card requirments say on the box. :-) :D

I now have a new E6400 Dual Core Conroe process along with the ASUS P5B Mother board and GEForce 7900GT 256MB Video card and 2 gig of DDR2 ram 800 MHZ memory along with a Serial ATA 160 G Seagate 7200 rpm drive and a new 500 watt Antec power supply. I put it all together as a new system and turned it on and I can't get anything to show up on the monitor, there fore I can;t update the BIOS like I need to. Any thoguhts or suggestions would be great but Ithink I need to updat eteh bios so that I can start the basic stuff and install Windows XP ect. I know enoguh to be dangerous but anythoughts would be helpful.Thanks Shayne

Hi Everyone, today I was downloading a G500 file from Flightsim.com and I went to work in the yard, when I came back my screen was black and my computer was running. I tried to reboot but nothing comes up jsut runs, I tested my monitor but is still says no signal and displays that so I am at a loss on what may have heppend and I can't get it so do anyting in order to fix it. By the way 2 weeks ago my power supplied died and I replaced it and things have been fine. The only other thing I can think of is windows updates had installed something and was needing a restart and I had not restarted yet but I am not sure if that had anything to do with it. I am not that computer savy but I know enough when to stop. Any suggestions would be great as I am at a loss and have been looking to upgrade but I hope I have not lost everything. I have an extra hard drive that I back everyhing up on ans it is in the same computer and I did install FSX demo on it a few days agao. By the way it is a P4 2.4 with 1Gig of ram two harddrives and an NVIDIA 6500. 66000 if I remeber only 128 megs on the video card. Again any suggestions would be great. Thanks as always.Shayne

I was messing around installing the update to the new freeware Florida scenery in the Avsim file library, and when I did my first flight the skys were all colorful and strange so I closed out and started to look for the problems, I tried to re-start FS and it starts to open and then it just closes after about 25 seconds. I then delted the add on Florida scenery folders and tried that and nothing,If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.Thahks Shayne

I just installed FS2004 and it worked until I changed something and now I cant see anything except the plan at the start up screen. the rest is all black and I cant see any of the options to set things up. I have unistalled and reinstalled twice and the same problem. I have a P2.4 533 fFSB 512Ram 128mag Nvidia GeForce4 MX440 SE video card and the computer is newly built with ans Albatron Motherboard. I have Anti Alsiing at 2X and I can't figure out what might be wrong any help would be great.Thanks much from a dissapointed simmer. I do have to admit I had some very pretty scenery while it worked but started taking a huge frame hit with dowload weather and I had backed off the cloud texture to 40% but it was very speratic. Any suggestions would be great. Waiting pateintly.Shayne:( :-(

I was wondering if anyone who already has a copy of COF/2004 has been able to get the POSKY CRJ to work. If it does could someone post a cool screenshot. I order my copy from Soft ECT here in Southern California and they saidthat one would get pulled and shipped to the store, possibly sooner then ther 29th but that was still the date in the computer but they did have them in teh warehouse in Texas.Thanks again.

I will have to check that may be it but I do have the other textures downloaded. I am at work now so I will check when I get back home. If I remember correctly you can not have to planes with the same texture names, is that correct or am I wrong.Shayne

I can't even get the original base package to show up, it is the strangest thing. I have tried to download it again and I have verified that all the files are there in the right structure it jsut isn't showing up, its the weirdest thing.

I first want to thank everyone for all the help with my last question, however I have a new one. I installed the 737-800 BWI Base package and the AA, DL, CO repaints and dropped them into FS like I have done so many times before and I can not get them to show up. Any suggestions would be great, I have already checked to make sure a file wasn't missing or something but I seem to remember you can't have to file names the same and I do not so I am quit puzzled. I am not sure what forum to ask this but I have a PIII-1G machine 512 mb of memory a new 80gig HD and Ge force 4 128mb video card and ever since I put the card in I have had all kinds of probelms. I have had more problems actually outside of FS but atill all kinds of issues. I recently cleaned my registry and updated to the latest drivers from Nvidia and direct X 9.0 and everything works okay but PSS A320 has more stutters than before with my older TNT Nvidia 64MB card. I have a copy of XP and was wondering if I should upgrade it. I no enough about computers to get into trouble but have a good friend that will help. Any suggestions or insight would be great.Thanks in advance.Shayne

I installed the TU-95 that was in Bears review and sisn't pay enough attention because now I am missing the gps.mod guage, at least I think that is the problem from reading this forum. Any way my stock gps gauge just shows up as a black box, I reloaded the gps.gua from the cd but it still doesn't work.
