isn't going to Raleigh, North Carolina with the Canucks. Schneider & Luongo are playing so well that Gilman told me last night that the Canucks don't need another goalie--yet.

Just found out the Canucks are staying in the same hotel as mine. One of my colleagues saw the Sedins and two other Canucks in the lobby last night. I'll keep my eyes peeled tonight after the game. Maybe I should ask for a lift back to the Westin on the team bus ... :-)

Laurence Gilman, Vice President of Hockey Operations & Assistant General Manager of the Canucks, was sitting beside me at the bar in the Westin. Was going to say hi, but he was quite busy on the phone, and then he sat with people I didn't recognize--maybe one of the trainers? A brush with greatness, as Letterman would say!
