  1. Hi all right where to start I run fs9 as part of my home cockpit it seems every time I have it running right and add some new toys to it something goes wrong :-) Just recently fs9 has been running great I use the wilco 737 and run 2 LCD and 3 CRT monitors as part of my set up, 2 outside views and 3 as the mip running the gauges behind the mip panel, I was recently lucky enough to have purchased a real 737-300 throttle to convert to sim use and this is where the add new toys and something goes wrong comes in, two of the CRT monitors blowed which wasn't the end off the world so I replaced them with 3 LCD ones to run the gauges behind the mip, since then I have hit all sorts of problems, the sim ran great with its old monitors I have 1 PC which feeds all monitors using display link adapters I have numerous add on sceneries all maxed out and had a stable 25 fps locked which is all I need and was quite happy with. Now with the new monitors it get a fluctuation in fps from 25 down to 8 ? I have searched the flight sim community and not much has come up on LCD monitors affecting fps, I haven't used the sim for 3 months so I don't think any software changes have taken place but something is definitely happening in the back ground Example is sitting at the gate in the default cessna on one screen and all other monitors turned off the fps is around 20 that's at Latin vfr cayman mwcr now before the swop over I could sit in the 737 at the gate with 25 fps locked and it not drop from gate to gate. Any idea's of where I should start looking? Thanks in advance
  2. Thanks I give them a try
  3. Hi all does anyone know any decent Caribbean landclass that is available,I'm using ground environment pro which adds a little ground candy and I'm looking at getting fsgenesis's mesh for Mexico and the Caribbean. I just want something to sort the towns and roads out to make it a little tidier. I mainly fly around the caymans and Jamaica I'm using Latin vfr airports for both but it's the land detail I'm after.
  4. have you realigned thr IRS?
  5. Thankyou, Tried it and it works great, what a dummy :-) i did read the manual honest :-) just got to learn to speak now.
  6. Hi all, I'm having a problem with the voice control, if i reply to the F/O running a check list with "Check" it interacts with windows itself and closes Flight sim down :-) i'm new to this voice control and i have followed the Win 7 voice set up as the manual say's any idea'sThanks allJust a note this isn't a CTD as windows voice shows "closing FS9"
  7. During a turbine engine start-up, it is possible for the temperatures inside the combustion section to get hot enough to cause internal damage to the engine. The engine manufacturer has determined a specific "do not exceed" temperature for each engine, and pilots monitor the IT gauges carefully during start-up to insure the engine does not exceed that limit. Some aircraft have manual 'trim' controls that pilots can use to reduce the amount of fuel flowing into the engine, while others have auto-trim, but either way, if the internal temperature of the engine goes over the established limit for a certain time period, you have a hot start. Hot starts will frequently require the engine to be removed from service and a complete tear-down and internal inspection of the engine will be performed to determine if there was damage, and if it can be repaired.
  8. Hi guy's. I noticed that also you can start engine 2 from bleed air from engine 1 without increasing n1%. on the real aircraft and in the procedures it states that a minim of 40% n1 sould be reach to turn over engine 2 to get 20% or 30 psi duct pressure. In the PMDG 737 i don't need to increase engine1, engine 2 starts straight away. 10. Hi all i have a question, I run the PMDG 737 on shuttle flights in the uk i have UK2000 egbb, egss and egph, AES, active sky and radar contact installed all my sliders are maxed and i use a two monitor setup ( PMDG panel on lower and outside views on a upper) All runs great and and my frames are locked at 25fps, with this the lowest it drops is around 20fps when i fly around the london area. Now i recently started doing some shuttle flights in the USA and mainly fly from KBOS to KSTL, i use the freeware KBOS with AES and get again around 20fps i use a freeware KSTL and i am lucky to get 11fps around the airport area which is awfull, I've noticed it alot around the USA that the land mass really drops the fps why is this and why in the USA but not around the UK, is there any way to help bring the frame rate up by updating the Mess. I havn't added any payware US airports as yet but i want to get the Fly Tampa KMDA but if i get low fps with freeware what chance have i got with a payware package?chears all hope this makes sence
  11. Hi all is there a co-pilot panel avalible as an extra view so i can place it on a seperate monitor? there was a thread with one that someone had made but can't find where to get it.Thanks all
