1. Hi Ed BTW. in case i did not say it earlier . really appreciate your help with this... Il try this Pete
2. MPI_CDIGauge.gau yes is it is in this folder G:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Gauges Pete
3. I probably did create that panel and your gps unit shows up when i select the gps from the menu.. ..Maybe i should just reinstall your product into fsx again and the MPI_CDIGaige will reinstall I dont mind doing this as long as i don't have to reauthorize because i have no authorization left . Peter

5. what i mean is that i tried the microsoft 172 ... thats what i mean by stock.. I was able to use the a2a 182 but no lpv , its the only a2a plane i own the a2a 182 im using is not g1000 and i successfuly installed the 530 into it. just no verical guidance Ill keep working on it...
6. Tried an lpv into rochester Kroc on the a2a.. 182 and stock ms 172.. (rnav 07 )approach with mindstar and data updates and im still not getting vertical guidance.... ( lpv )....using the 530 Can someone else try that approach and let me know if they are picking up Vertical ... I have horizontal... or ..... Can someone suggest a combo of plane and specific approach that give them lpv and ill give it a shot to see if i have things set up properly Pete
7. Mike i might be wrong but i think he means http://www.a2asimulations.com/ Pete
8. I am trying to get the c-182t g1000 to work as designed. I understand that many of the features of the unit are not modelled . I am just not sure if my problems stem from the item not being modelled or I'm making mistakes For instance when i select an approach ( assume rnav) i am able to select the approach and then activate it. But i am then unable to get rid of the flight plan window on the mfd. Hitting the FLP or CLR button will not take me back to the main screen. Normally and in real life i could hold the C key and it would take you back to the default screen. Further lets say you are flying an approach and want to go to a fix direct in the approach. You normally can hit "direct" then scroll to the waypoint and hit enter and you can truncate the approach similar to how atc might send you to a specific point on an approach. On the g1000 in the sim i can scroll to a fix but when i hit "ENT" nothing happens, it won't send me direct and i cant complete the task. Typically i get stuck at this point ( or frustrated) !! lastly there is just no way to back up and get rid of the flight plan screen on the mfd, It seems as though once i bring it up it just stays on top of the map Maybe this is some of the missing functionality our perhaps I'm making a mistake . I fly a g1000 in real life and this all seems a bit odd... Thoughts Pete
9. thank you.... i own the 182 ill check it out... much appreciated,,, Pete
10. Thanks Ed Im going look around the mindstar for the specific aircraft that can utilize the variable you publish...It is entirely possible i missed that important bit of info...... Pete
11. I installed the realnav data. I have now flow a few lpv approachs in a corrando mooney and the stock cessna 172 I tired this one in the 530 430 KSBA rnav ( gps) rwy 07 ( just an example ) ( also tried several others ) I had no vertical guidance on the HSI or v2.. Trying to fly the lpv .. Kap 150 in app mode Evidently the mindstar/530 with realnav data works with lpv No vertical guidance thoughts.. Peter
12. Thanks ED.... I should have read the first sticky!... almost have things functional at my end .. thank you for the re response update above..
13. Hmm ? is this correct because i bought the mindstar 4/5 series. I was about to purchase the real nav data. i want to get the gps gnss lpv etc approaches ? Is this included and will they work in the gps
14. It actually has tons of functionality that the stock gps does not have.. Just start by exploring the MENU button on any page and you will find lots of goodies.... Peter
15. I installed the gauges into p3d v3 ( btw its all working fine in fsx and fsx-se on my machine) I installed into p3d v3 and then installed into a stock microsoft fsx baron that i had imported and into a caranado m20j in both cases the gauge comes up as a pop up in the vc . the gauge 530 comes up and runs through the start up but then i cant click to get past the gauge OK message. also just cannot use any gauge buttons.. I checked the dll.xml ( looks good to me ) and hygergauge is in the modules folder.... I checked permissions.. .... looks good....... Not sure what else to check.... The only thing i can think of is that Hypergauge is not being recognized because i never get a dialogue about it when loading the plane... Any other ideas Pete
16. anyone know how to get rid of the blue tint in the windows of this plane . Ive owned it for a long time and recently got back to it and forgot how to brighten I am pretty sure i had a fix and forgot how to get rid of the bluish green overwhelming tint any ideas ?? Thank you Peter
17. Gboz... I hate to admit it but im running fsx-accel, fsx-se p3d v2 and 3 all different platforms ,,,,,, all being used for different things I admit it..... Im a junkie... I experimented tonight Best result p3d v2 ......nvidia surround. / 3 screens stretched at max res. ( i card not two ) still weird but sort of works. very cool feeling over a single screen.... just odd on the two side panels. Pete
18. Interesting,,,, how would you tune the monitors individually if the image is actually one large image spread over three monitors. Maybe you are suggesting that i create three different windowed views and set each one separately . I think a windowed solution may be a Frame Rate killer..Please provide further info Pete
19. What is the best way to set up 3 monitors given the following options: A.Nvidia surround ( significant distortion on the both the left and right panel ) Center panel is good or B.Triple head to go.... ( i dont own this ) but before i purchase one I wonder if i will get the same side distortion. What is the preference Currently I have 2 98oti cards.. three similar monitors ... asus at 2560x1440 rez What would everyone recommend as the best to get realistic - non-distorted views Peter
20. Carlos ... Ill play with it...
Does anyone know the ai settings to enhance the vc
I am a real pilot and in real life we have a good view of the entire panel. In fsx, p3d most of the time I'm fiddling for a full panel view with some sense of the horizon ...even
when flying ifr .. But I guess that is what makes sim flying so incredibly interesting
Pete
21. you are probably correct in that i have moved the eye position back in order to increase my field of view .. i am not zoomed all that much, but i am definetly back in the shot above. Im interested in what others use for zoom and eye position settings? thanks ill give it a try Pete
22. Here is a screenshot notice the blurry edges and gauges. I have the same issue in fsx and p3d aafsxcarenadoseneca by Peter Kofman
23. Can someone tell me how to enhance or improve the vc gauges on my carendo aircraft ( SR 22 182 seneca ) I have great difficulty reading the vc gauges. The situation gets much worse as i zoom out. very difficult to read on my machine and i have a great vid card 980 ti now sure what else i can do other than play with settings ( not i have fsx set to enhance the vc gauges ) Perhaps there is a quick fix but i am having difficulty with this one. Thank you Peter

25. Im curious as i have run fsinn in the past on a network client. How did you set up your sound so that you could hear both atc and the sim . Do you use headphones. I never quite figured out how to do that and have it work so that i could hear the sim and atc and effectively use ptt though headphones. i think it only worked with external speakers and a mic... For those of you who answered the poll with "vpilot" and p3d 2.5 in the poll above , could someone please let me know if they have ever overcome the way you lose sound when switching from the sim to the vpilot window. It is primarily that functionality that is normal in p3d and fsx ( ie switching to an external program , unchecked lost focus etc ) that makes me a it crazy. I understand the behaviour of vpilot as an external program and hence my initial question about fsinn . I like vpilot and it is seem to be clean and run well but.... it is just that small detail vis. functionality that would be interesting to solve
