  1. Hello everyone, well the crossbar flight director and adi would be my biggest wish, that would be so cool.Another great addition would be to replace the round dial radioaltimeter witha small vertical tape style one, like on the RFP 747 or Richard Probst' 727 panel. The additional new free space on the panel to the right of the Tape-RA could be filled with a small standby horizon, which would also be a cool and is animportant feature on the real plane.Otherwise just wanting to say thank you to Bob and all the others involved forgiving us such a great plane as freeware. Its really one of my all-timee favourites. Thanks again and keep up the good work.Best regards, J. Corey
  2. Hi everyone!,I m working on the flight dynamcis of a 737 for fs9,and i really need some help there. As soon as the aircraftbanks in a turn, it looses lift dramatically and starts to descent. The greater the bank anglethe higher the descent rate. How can I soften that effect?Which entry in the air file controlsthe relationship between bank angle and lift?PS: I know that a certain loss of lift in turns is normal due the lift being angled sideways and no longer pointing straight up but this is way too muchand I need to reduce that.Hope u can help me!Regards Corey
  3. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hi everyone,I'm new to this so I hope someone here in this forum is able to help me.I want to add a sound for deployment of ground spoilers on touchdown to a plane. The basic question is, how do I do this?I have the wave file for the spoilers, but how can i assign it to the ground spoiler function.Do I have to make a gauge for the panel?Or can I somehow add it to the plane by adding a line to the sound.cfg file of the plane? Before I forget it, the airlane to which I want to add that sound has no own spoiler deployment sound, otherwise it would just be a matter of swappin the wav file.Hope someone can help with this one.Have a nice day,Corey
  4. Hello everyone, I hope someone is able to help me.Im currently working on the flight dynamics of the Boeing 737.I happen to be in the lucky position to fly this plane (NG-Version,though)for real to earn my living. So now to the question. Everything is fine with the dynamics, but when I commence a turn with the plane ,the lift loss is way too high, meaning I have to pitch up far too much to keep my altitude. Its just not realistic to fly a visual circling approach with 7-9 degrees of pitch up,just to keep altitude for example. It seems to be a general problem, regardless of flap position or speed, though its more obvious in low speed regimes I know of course from reality and the days at flight school that a bit of backpressure on the yoke is needed during turns to compensate for the banked liftvector in a turn. But this is way too much.I noticed this behaviour with several FS-Planes, even with the otherwise excellent PMDG 737 NG. Does anyone know a solution for this?which part of the .cfg File or .air needs to be modified to reduce the loss of lift during banked turns? Would be really great if someone could help. Best regards, Corey
  5. Hi Onur!Thank you very much for explaining it again to me.Now I understood perfectly!Have a great day and thank you again.Happy landings, alwaysCorey
  6. hey Guys, just followed your thread here and found it quite interesting.I also own theJustflight-Version of PSS 757 and I also wished for the option to get rid ofthe VC,since it really eats up my frame rate.Unfortunately I#m not that much of a computer crack.Could you tell me againand a bit more detailed, how I can disable the VC like you did?I understood I need a hex editor, but what exactly do I have to do with it?And Strider if you can send me your changes to panel.cfg regarding to the2d side views, that would be really nice! Thanks already a lot in advance, Corey

  8. Hey guys, thanx a lot for all your replies.Well it seems those things will remain unfixed for now.Could be worse though.Bruno, as for your question:The runway Fixpoint on the LEGS-Page of the FMC is the point of the respective runway, where the airplane is 50ft above threshold. That point is needed for the FMC of thereal plane to calculate the final descent (for the V-Nav path on a non-precision approach),usually 3 degrees descent angle, from the final decent point down to the runway threshold.Lets hope the new 737 NG v2 is equipped with those features.Have a nice day and happy landings always,Corey
  9. Hello everyone,I'm still flying and enjoying the pmdg 737-800/900 for fs2004 a lot.Since I'm in the happy position to also earn my money on this type in real lifeit helps a lot as a procedure training tool as well, at least in a lot of areas. However I noticed a few things, which don't seem to work on the pmdgplane but in reality they do.But I'm hoping maybe someone has a solution or fix for that.So here we go:1. On the real airplane u can do a raw-data take-off and still use A/T.With both FD switches off and A/T armed,in reality u can press TO/GA and A/T engages in N1 mode and sets T/O thrust and later on CLB thrust at acceleration altitude. With the pmdg plane, at least on my computer,A/T only engages with TOGA if u select at least one Flight director on prior to pressing TO/GA.If both Flightdirectors are off & A/T is armed and you press TOGA-well nothing happens at all.Has anybody a solution for that? (and before someone asks, of course both generators are connected,it has nothing to do with that)2.In reality the tendency on non-precision approaches is too fly them more and more in LNAV/VNAV mode, unlike before with VOR/LOC+V/S or LNAV+ V/S Thats seems to present kind of a problem to the pmdg plane as well. For example on an NDB approach,With all the data entered correctly in the fmc the plane seems to make huge oscillations up and down the VNAV path from the final descent altitude down to the MDA.It deviates up and down up too about 600 ft from the path, way too much. This also happens even if u start the final descent already fully configured which should make it more easier. Since LNAV/VNAV non precision approaches havent been incorporated in the real plane for such a long time,I realize maybe the PMDG wasn't programmed to cover that feature already when it came out,so you can only fly it with v/s mode- Still im wondering if anyone else did get that one to work better?3.Third at least,j ust a minor thing. It doesn#t seem to be possible,no matter how actual the navdata is, to take the runway point from the legs page to the fix page.In reality u can take, say waypoint RWY07L in frankfurt from the LEGS page in the FMC into the scratchpad, then select FIX page and enter RWY07L as a fix. With pmdg it always gives a message "waypoint unknown" when i try to transfer it from the scratchpad into the fix page.Is that a bug in the FMC or in the navdata? ( BTW I also own PMDGs 747,same problem there, strangely though LEVEL D`s 767 FMC can do it).Thats all folks, never mind all those are minor points, its still a great addon ,hats off to pmdg for creating such a close replication of the real thing. If anyone has a fix or knows how to work around those issues,I'd be more than happy-Have a great day,Corey
  10. Hello Bob or anyone else, can you tell where in the panel.cfg file the sounds for the altitude callouts during descent/approach are referenced to,or where I can find the sound files for it?Because the callouts are simply not working, everything remains silent.I already looked for the soundfiles or gauge for those callouts but couldn't find it.It worked fine in older Versions but now ,nothing. If u don't know a solution, please just tell me,where the RADALT sounds are located or activated and I'll try to fix it myself. Thanx a lot JOhn
  11. Hello everyone, first of all thanx so much, for such a superb addon, and making it available as freeware is even greater. However I'm having a really strange problem with the sound in the cockpit. All the cockpit sounds seem to work normal, but the trim sound doesnt't work. The other thing thats not working are the radio altitude callouts during approach.Very seldom there is a callout, but mostly there are no callouts at all.Has anybody any idea how to solve this problem,or whats the reason? That would be great, because it contributes a lot to the feeling of realism in the plane.I'm at a loss here.I installed everything in order:Version 1.2,1.21,1.22,1.23a. I also added the fsound.dll line fs9.cfg and checked all the sound files are there.I also tried reinstalling everything, but the problem appears again. If anybody could help me with that issues, it would be great.Thanx a lot in advance, Corey
  12. First of all,Congrats for such a superb aircraft,it's really great to have the old 737-200 finally modelled with all system details&functionality.Just one question:Any chance in a later release for a edition with a different ADI.The classical ball-shaped one with a 2cue-FD?Like the one here:http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=0805...=COCKPIT&size=LI think it was used quite a lot and even already in the old -100 version, with lufthansa for example.Any just a question, and it would be really great to have that kind of ADi available as well, but if not,no prob, Greetings,Corey
