  1. Matt, to answer your questions: 1. What platform are you using? Store PC Desktop 2. What version? 1.38.2.0 3. Have you tried searching for old email sent to you regarding MSFS? How about your spam folder? Nothing in there 4. Are you using the same PC or have you upgraded it since the last time MSFS worked? Same PC, same Window 10 5. Do you have a receipt for the purchase? Yes 6. Are you able to log-in to forums.flightsimulator.com? Yes Have reset my password 5, or 6, times and then restarted MSFS 2020 each time to no avail. Very close to scrapping MSFS 2020 and staying with FSX. BTW, I'm very familiar with passwords, my work requires dozens of them for various applications. Microsoft should be ashamed of itself for such an arcane password process. Thanks Matt very much for your help!!! Captain Tom
  2. I purchased MSFS 2020 in April 2023. I dabbled with it only a few times as work demanded my time. Having been a veteran of Microsoft’s Flight Simulator for 0ver 25 years, I know my way around the software and had been flying the PMDG 747 since it came out for FS9 and FSX. One sad day in mid-2024, I fired up MSFS 2020 and much to my surprise, I now had to log in to access the App. I diddled with getting the log in details worked out (I thought). Then work precluded any further thoughts of flying. Finally, in late 2024, I attempted to again fire up MSFS 2020. I could not log in, numerous attempts to have Microsoft send me a six-digit code to my email account never arrived. Likewise, attempts to gain access to Microsoft’s help desk failed. What am I doing wrong? There is absolutely no manual, or Youtube video, that I can find, to show me the steps to log in. Is it the Xbox that is the issue? Again, I can find no manual to assist me. Please help!! Thank you, Captain Tom
  3. Thank you Charliearon!!! It was a Matrox Triple Header. Had it since FS9 and just couldn't remember the name. Appreciate your help. Captain Tom
  4. I had a small piece of Flightsim Hardware that took the video output on my computer and spread it into each of my three monitors. This allowed the view to be spread across all three monitors without distorting it. I've moved and cannot find that component. Does anyone know who made it so I can buy another one. Thanks much for your reply!! Captain Tom
  5. Yes, that would be taking the structures that reside in the Google Earth Warehouse and installing them in FS9, or FSX (I run both of them).
  6. Thanks for the info F70! Amazing. I've been flying for 10 years, am not an IT novice but just starting to get into this. There must be a process you go through to bring in the Google Warehouse item in and place it in your FS. Where can I go to find that process? Thanks!!!!
  7. Thank you all for your help. That's the greatest thing about this hobby, helping each other and making the hobby better as the result. Appreciate all the comments!!! Happy flying, and designing, to you all!!
  8. Thanks for the info Mike! I was pretty sure that it was not a "main stream" capability or I would have heard more about it. Now I know and will move on. Sure seemed like a great way to populate my scenery with true-to-life visuals tho. :(
  9. I can't find where this has been covered. Is it possible to import the complete buildings from Google Earth into FS9, or FSX? There is the Google Earth Warehouse but I can't find how to export them and import them into FS. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!! Captain Tom
  10. HELP! I'm finally getting around to reorganizing my 70 GB of FS9 Scenery. I have read a number of conflicting and confusing articles on how to prioritize scenery. Looking at the FS9 Scenery Library screen list, from top to bottom, I think this is the correct way. Is it?1. Global Mesh2. Regional Mesh3. Local Mesh4. 3rd Party Scenery5. Land Class - Local6. Land Class - Regional7. Object Libraries8. DefaultWhat works for you? How does FS9 look at and load scenery - from the top of the list to the bottom, or the bottom to the top? Can I assume that the lower the Layer Number in the Scenery.cfg file, the higher the priority (loaded first)? There are three numbers that are used - Area, Layer, and Priority. 1. Area is just a sequential number assigned to each scenery added. Once assigned it is never used again if that scenery gets subsequently deleted.2. Layer is ??3. Priority is what is shown on the Settings - Scenery Library screen and appears to have no relation to Layer(?).This is a large undertaking and I only want to do it once. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Once I understand all this I will develop a Tutorial to help others that may be as confused as I am.Thanks!
  11. Thanks very much. FSX seems to have scattered those type of files all over. Probably for a very good reason, but it sure makes things more dificult to make the transition from FS9 to FSX. We need a "cheat sheet" to locate all those types of files.Appreciate your help!!!!
  12. I want to get my custom traffic from FS9 (traffic.bgl) into FSX. Any ideas? And where is the traffic bgl located in FSX?Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
  13. I downloaded and executed the package, but I can see no change to the FSX scenery, probably because I have both FS9 and FSX on a different hard drive than the FS9 MegaScenery.Anybody else have this problem? - Wish developers would let us have the option to at least identify the hard drive where our files are located.Any help will be appreciated - - Thanks.
