Does Anybody Remember the old "Flight Assignment ATP" ?
Thanks to everyone who replied to my thread!!!!! I must not be the only "old timer" around here!!!! I will look into FS Captain and Ideal Flight. I am familiar with FS passengers but found it too buggy....Virtuali, I love the pictures you posted of our old beloved sim! Is Simon still alive and well? I remember vividly when he took over the ATP sim and designed the MD 80 panel. The scenery you designed then was absolutely fantastic. So here is the question: I throw down the gauntlet to Virtuali or some other designer to come up with an addon program that would come close to ATP in scope and options. Maybe a joint venture with the designers of FS Captain and/or Ideal Flight ? I for one would be willing to spend money to have a program that emphasizes airmanship/skill, flight planning, and fuel management and a career path in a realistic and professional manner. I would rather spend my money on that type of program rather than have scores of "high end and high dollar" 3rd party planes that sit in the hanger because I get too bored flying them around the patern. I am sure I am not alone in this opinion. Thanks again for all of the replies!

Does Anybody Remember the old "Flight Assignment ATP" ?
Hi Mike: WOW! I threw mine out years ago! I would love to get some smart people together and interested in designing a program similar to F.A. ATP. That would really appeal to the hard core "professional" simming experience.....do you know of anything that is currently available that even comes close?

Does Anybody Remember the old "Flight Assignment ATP" ?
I suppose in my old age I have gotten nostalgic, but I was recently thinking about the old Sublogic Title: "Flight Assignment ATP", which was around at about the same time Flight Simulator was developed. Despite the primative graphics, that program was way ahead of its time in that it consisted of a career path with progressive levels of difficulty, a "free flight" option, and a very comprehensive evaluation system in which evey flight was scored on the basis of airmanship, safety, navigation, and flight planning. Does anybody know of an addon (or addons) that come close to what this program had? I am not talking about creating and flying missions, but rather a serious career oriented program that enables creating and generating differrent routes, allows flexibility in choosing appropriate aircraft for the route (commuter props vs heavy transport planes), and most importantly gives feedback for fuel planning, airmanship/ skill, and safety on completion of the flight. Any "old timers" who remember that program will probably agree with me how immersive that program was. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for listening. Jeremy in OKC

Question about transferring the license to a new computer
Hi: I am thinking about purchasing the NGX but am also planning to purchase a new computer within the next 6-8 weeks when time and money permit. My question therefore is if I have the program on my current computer, what will be required to transfer it to the new computer in terms of licensing and/or activation? I would really love to have the NGX now, but would it be advisable to wait for the new system? Thanks for any suggestions and insight: Jeremy in OKC

Anyone able to use Maddog 2006 in FSX?
I am very interested in getting this but am unable to find out if anybody has successfully ported over the Maddog 2006 into FSX. If so, are all the special features usable such as FMC, LNAV, VNAV and multiplayer? On their website the official answer was "no" but I believe somebody has done this and posted some pistures in the screenshot area....if it can be done, could you please describe exactly how this can be accomplished. Many thanks in advance!Jeremy
