I'm also experiencing the sound loss after 10-15 minutes... It seems like when I try to either change aircraft or quit FS after getting the sound loss, I get a black screen and I'm forced to kill FS via the task manager.

I took your advice and went back to the default FSX DX10 waves. Like you said, much better visual quality, so I'm going to stick with those.

I do have my water set to 5, but only the first image is mine. The other two are off the REX forum and when comparing my water to the second image even, it seems a lot more pixelated and low res.

Greetings all, recently did the tweaks and updates to run DX10 as posted on this forum. However I did some low level flying just now and realized that my water textures seem to be almost pixelated or low quality. Here is a shot to explain: I've seen pictures such as these two that show a noticeable difference in quality. I am running REX as well. Any help would be appreciated.
