Intel Burn Test w/ above settings show the core temps of 70,78,79,74 on high setting within burn test so maybe I've gone as far as I can with this particular chip etc. Dazz you've really help me understand more of what to look for and what to change. Ok C1E and speedstep both enabled and set 47 by all cores and booted into windows ok CPU-ID showing 4.8 w vcore of 1.45 to 1.48 too high will change in bios to lower number and see Ok better set to 45 and CPUid shows 4635.76 45 x 103.02mhz and vcore is between 1.38 and 1.40v core temps are 60,57,61,58 w FSX running NGX at Las Vegas FSDT

yes mem set to 1333mhz so reset timings to manuf 9-11-10-28-2T and it booted up to windows. However I think I will go back to previous settings at 4.7Ghz because it was stable. But according to CPU-ID vcore was between 1.38 and 1.43!!w/ FSXrunning Is that too high on vcore at 1.43?? I don't know just thinking out loud maybe we should go on with your help but I'm afraid my vcore will be too high at 4.8 to 5.0 and not be stable?

Ok dazz, I really would like to do it right and learn at the same time and try to get it to 4.8Ghz or better w a low vcore. Now I'm using the same computer online that we need to get into bios with so I don't know if you need to PM me with the guide or what? Also today is my wife's birthday and I'm taking her out to dinner. It's 5:00PM here in Texas and I don't really know what time it is in Spain lol. I hate to sound stupid but do I just try to lower the vcore a little at a time in order to keep 4.7Ghz and lower temps too? I guess I need to read up on how to do that and really thank you for your help. But the last thing is why does it keep fluctuating while in FSX? Regards, Jim

No Sir I didn't set it manually I used AiTweaker from Asus and it is stable at 4.7Ghz. Maybe I should not have used AiTweaker not sure but I did run Intel Burn Test on very high and it was stable @ 4.7Ghz?? I haven't reeally done that much overclocking manually cause some of it gets really confusing (too old I guess) lol. Would doing it manually make a difference in the o/c value plus vcore voltage?? Ok Alain will run ram at manufactures1.65v which I have it at now. Also managed to o/c cpu to 4.7 and will stay there for now. vcore was 1.38 to 1.41 keeps fluctuating while in FSX according to CPUID but temps were 35deg at idle and 56deg in FSX..Thanks again for you insight. Regards,

Ok, I've just built a new system for FSX. 2700K, P8Z77-V MB Gskill Ram 2133 @ 1.65V GTX 580 Superclocked W7 Pro 64Bit. Now I'm confused about the ram I'm running? In the Asus book it says intel only recommends 1.5v ram. However I seen a lot of people are running 1.65v ram and some 1.50v. Will running 1.65v ram shorten the life of the 2700K cpu? If so what would you guys recommend as far as 1.50v ram brand and timings. Also running H100 push/pull config and temps only idle@low 30's and load mid 50's o/c to 4.4..Seems I can't get any higher o/c than 4.4. Would like to go to at least 4.6 to 4.8? Any help would be appreceiated. Can I change the stock 1.65v on ram to 1.50v inthe bios to help with overclock? My ram is Gskill RipjawsX DDR3-2133 PC3-17000CL9D-8GBXM 4096MBx2 CL9-11-10-28 2T Regards,

Well, I've been trying to get an email for verification but it never is sent(requested resend several times) When I sign in to the portal it says I'm registered but not verified follow instruction in email that was sent??? Never do get it?? I bought the extended d/l package on April 19 and have yet to get to the point of being verified and be able to submit a ticket for a new URL to download the NGX. BTW, my email account is working (receiving all my other emails just fine just not from this portal from PMDG?? Can anyone offer advice as to how I can get this handled? Thanks for any help!! Hello, well I just bought the extended download package and registered to submit ticket to activate new URL in order to re-d/l the NGX. However,they said my account had been registered but not verified and to follow the instruction in the email that was sent-----I have yet to receive any email even after asking them to re-send a couple of times. Does anyone know if their server down or does it take a while to get an email??? Any help would be appreceiated. Regards,
