  1. hahaha now I know 3 brazilians that REALLY bought the FSX...Americans don't know what is it, but we know...Here you are ''IDIOT'' if you buy something original...I mean, expensive things like FSX... Here it is R$160,00 or U$100,00 more or less (in Brazil) Luiz cunha
Hi Luiz Although I follow this forum almost on daily basis and as everyone here I'm anxiously waiting for the NGX release I avoid to post any messages that do not contribute to the community. Because of your post about our countrymen and piracy I have the comment here how I disagree with you. Unfortunately piracy runs all over the world and our country is not so different from any other. Anyway, I'm an old simmer (since 3.0) and I have always bought all softwares I run - both at office and at home - including FSX and all add-ons. And the same way I do, the great majority of my friends do the same. So, please, do not blame our country with some sort of personal statistics as my feeling is the opposite from yours. Maybe it has to do with the kind of friends I choose. Kind regardse queira-me bem. Flavio Schmid

  2. It would really help to add your system specs/environment to your posts/signatures so it is easier to correlate problems, fixes etc. Without this imporant info it is near impossible to get a handle of what combination of hardware, OS and add-ons are causing/fixing what problems. Thanks!!
I have posted my system specs a few msgs up here. But, no problem. Here it goes again:WinXP SP3 32 bitsMoBo - Intel dp35dp (http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/motherboards/dp35dp/dp35dp-overview.htm)Core2Duo E6750@2.66 GHz2GB RAMNVidia GeForce GTX275 896MB (http://www.nvidia.com.br/object/product_geforce_gtx_275_br.html)Chipset Intel P35 Express (http://www.intel.com/Products/Desktop/Chipsets/P35/P35-overview.htm)Audio onboard: Intel High Definition Audio (http://www.intel.com/design/chipsets/hdaudio.htm)RegardsSchmid

  3. For a few seconds? Before I tried this fix I was completely unable to regain my textures without a restart. Once they were gone, they were gone for good. Just losing them for a few seconds is fine as long as they return!Regards,Tom Wright
TomThe question is: removing sound.dll fixes the problem? The answer in my case is NO. To add some more information: while flying the textures demanded more time to render. At destination airport, I got only the 'skeleton' and, to push the system to the limits I tried to change from windowed mode to full screen. I got a blue screen caused by video driver so I had to turn off computer manually.I'll reduce autogen and scenery complexity from 'extremely dense' to 'very dense' and do some more tests.RegardsSchmid

  4. RyanI have removed the sound.dll lines on dll.xml file and I'm still experiencing the 'skeleton' for 748 for a few seconds. No difference at all with or without the sound.dll reference (except for the missing cockpit sounds, of course). My rig specs:WinXP SP3 32 bitsMoBo - Intel dp35dp (http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/motherboards/dp35dp/dp35dp-overview.htm)Core2Duo E6750@2.66 GHz2GB RAMNVidia GeForce GTX275 896MB (http://www.nvidia.com.br/object/product_geforce_gtx_275_br.html)Chipset Intel P35 Express (http://www.intel.com/Products/Desktop/Chipsets/P35/P35-overview.htm)Audio onboard: Intel High Definition Audio (http://www.intel.com/design/chipsets/hdaudio.htm)As my rig is becoming 'old' for the actual standards, I think it is relevant to know that the sound.dll change is not enough to solve the problem.RegardsSchmid

  5. QUOTE (F.Schmid @ Feb 9 2010, 05:09 PM) It lasts 2 or 3 seconds to refresh the graphics and then everything runs ok.Then there is no problem. If you want a faster refresh, lower your scenery sliders, or purchase a faster PC. This is just the way FS works.
VinThere IS a problem that I can live with, although I would prefer not to: it seems that this beauty demands lots of processing, much more than JS41 for example. The only reason to have 748 is because of its exterior, after all.A faster PC is on my plans but not for now as ALL add-ons run perfectly with very reasonable frame rates (25+)Anyway, thank you for making things clear.RegardsSchmid

  6. Hi Dan.744, MD11 and JS41 are running perfectly. Not a single problem, specially on graphics.I don't know if with the new techniques used to create this model things are near the limit for my rig and I'll have to decrease some settings, which wouldn't be nice as all (and I have many) add-ons are ok.And if it is so, I'm worried about 73xNG so I hope devs can find out what is going on.Anyway, thank you for your help.RegardsSchmid

  7. AdrianThe same here.It lasts 2 or 3 seconds to refresh the graphics and then everything runs ok.As nobody have related this before I believed it was a problem with my install so I uninstalled it and I'm waiting for the update patch. I have never experienced such a problem, even with the most 'frame eaters' add-ons like CS757 and F1 Cessna Mustang.I hope the devs can take a look at this and maybe find a solution before releasing the new version.Just in case:WinXP SP3FSX SP2Intel Core2Duo E6750 - 2.66GHz2GB RAMNVidea GTX275 896 MBRegardsSchmid

  8. Hi, team.I've just downloaded and installed the748i and as it was expected: what a great job! Congratulations.I noticed when both pilot and first officer look through the window both wings are not there. We can see nav and strobe lights but not the most extreme part of the wings were those lights were supposed to be.Anybody else with this same problem?Best regards.Schmid.

  9. RyanThank you for your patience.I have good news: I completely removed JS41, including references on [trusted] section of fsx.cfg file. I did NOT removed information on Windows Registry.I reinstalled JS41 (default). Then I opened default Cessna at an airport in cold&dark state. Changed to JS41 and made a quick test, specially turning on FMS: it worked fine. Then I closed FSX and installed SP1 repeating procedures above: VOIL

  10. Hi, RyanI have some add-ons, including 747 and MD-11 and all of them work perfectly, including FSX itself which is very stable on my rig. I don't have CTD's or any other problem since my last reinstall.A full reinstall is not on my plans for the next weeks, as it will take me too many hours, and I'm a little be afraid of not having this stable instalation I have now.Well, I'll try a full uninstall/reinstall of JS41 and let you know.RegardsSchmid

  11. That's exactly the point: Loading the tutorial flight as described in the manual FMS NEVER worked. If you load this flight from the beginning, it works, but the aircraft is not cold and dark.
If I load tutorial flight from FSX main screen it works but it is not in cold and dark.Schmid

  12. Hi, Team! Please check what is happening with Qantas livery installer:1. It is creating some lines on aircraft.cfg (galley=fore)2. Although it creates the correct [fltsim.xx] section and sets texture=DR, the livery that it installs is the .VNE (Venezolana).Best regards and, again, congratulations for this immersive simulation.Schmid

  13. Hi, Ryan

Captains,Hope you're all enjoying the new aircraft!
First of all, congratulations for this another fantastic aircraft. You really are the best!I have burned about a dozen engines so I decided to fix a post-it on my monitor: Do not forget to unfeather.... :( Besides this it is a pleasure to fly with this jewel. If you don't mind I'd like to report a behaviour on FMC pre-saved routes so you may check it and maybe include on the FMC improvements.I have 430+ routes saved on C:\...\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG and I think there is a limitation on FMC capabilities on retreiving so many files, although it does a selection from the routes beginning at departure airport. With this number of routes, FMC does not show all alternatives from a specific departure airport.I have removed most routes and remained with about 50. With this number of files, FMC works perfectly, displaying all routes from the dep airport.Best regardsSchmid
