  1. Good day.AMAZING is what I feel with both SP1 and 600/700. At least.Congratulations PMDG team for the great job.I use two 4:3 monitors - FSX running on one and all other stuff on the second - and I'm used to 2D panel. Please!!!!! I'm not trying to restart the thread about 2D x VC.I was NEVER bothered for not having a 2D popup panel for fuel switches. A "SHIFT+A" then back with an "A" is so easy to use, after all.Now I have a very nice 2D panel for 4:3 ratio. I can clearly read all PFD and MFD information. Wow! How nice! But for the first time I miss a popup or a click spot for landing gear as with this new resize it was moved to the right, outside the screen. Now I cannot see the 'three green' unless I change to VC.If it is possible, I'd like to suggest to PMDG team to address this issue on the future SP2.Kind regardsSchmid
  2. PatrickI got it.Go to panel folder (simobjects>airplanes>pmdg 737-800NGX), rename panel.cfg to panel.cfg.old (or any other name) and rename either panel_4_3 or panel_wide, depending on your screen size to panel.cfg.Please report back. Mine is ok now.RegardsSchmid
  3. Good day.Same here but there are no instructions as Robert stated. Just about 4:3 wideaspect.RegardsSchmid
  4. Daniel As it is being said by other fellow simmers, you definitely need more RAM. I have experienced the exact problem as yours because of my low end Dual Core + 2 GB. So I'd also suggest you to spend some money getting 4+GB of RAM which will lead you to run Win7 and then I'd suggest 64bits. I have done this and now (without HF4 as I'm waiting for SP1) I have quite all the problems solved - eventually I get a FSX CTD. Good luck Schmid
  5. Robert I hope your dad is ok now. Take your time with him and your family. Kind regards Schmid
  6. Axel. Until recently I was running a low end computer: Core2Duo with XP SP3 and 2GB. Obviously not enough to run NGX together with other programs, which always caused the 'skeleton' effect even running with the sliders at minimum. Changing views, changing from windowed to full screen or any other measure to force a screen refresh did not recovered from 'the skeleton'. So I decided to upgrade the processor to a Quad 9550 and do a fresh install with Win7 64 plus 8GB. Now if I'm flying with 2D cockpit and jump to an outside view I see 'the skeleton' for no more than 1 second. If I'm flying with VC I do not see 'the skeleton' if I go to ouside view. Most of my sliders are at max but I do not use aircraft shadows on itself. I also use water at low 2x. Your specs are better than mine so something is not well balanced. I suggest you to do a defrag on your HD, let FSX rebuild your fsx.cfg and start testing with no sceneries add-ons(UT2) until you find the culprit. Regards Schmid
  7. Eric The same for me: After some days (!!!) to a fresh install of w7-64 and all add-ons, NGX is running perfectly except for IVAP disconnects (internal - no CTD). I also have those flashes but it is not due to unlimited FPS as Evan suggested. I limited them to 50 and I get them. Initially I thought maybe some PMDG fans taking some shots of that beautiful bird.... Anyway, I can live with this too..... Regards Schmid
  8. Matheus Yes, unfortunately for him things didn't end well. As I can remember, because of that accident they changed the access control to that part of the street which is already in use. Regards SchmidFantastic shots, Gabriel! +1 Schmid
  9. Gabriel Yes exactly! They are better when taken from Morro da Urca rather than Sugar Loaf. Nice shots! Paul I would'nt say I'm such an old guy but I had the opportunity to make (as a passenger) a few flights to/from SBRJ - SBSP aboard the L-188. Wow! Suddenly those guys started to use the 73x and A31x not after lots of discussions about if it could be made or not. But there they are with lots of landings and departures every single day. And there are many stories regarding SBRJ. There is one from a taxi driver that decided to drive at a service street just behind RWY02 at the same moment a 73x was setting full throttles for departure. I don't remember if his taxi is still under the sea..... And there are old approach procedures to SBRJ that are no more in use. The old brazilian pilots already know them: SUVACO1 and SUVACO2 where the aircraft passed a little bit below the arms of the Christ over Corcovado. SUVACO 1 below right arm. SUVACO2 below left arm. What means SUVACO? I don't know there is a similar word in English. Maybe Google Translator can help us.... LOL Maybe we meet at IVAO sometime where I always fly. Cheers Schmid
  10. Matheus As a 'carioca' myself I'd suggest you to get a boat and take your spots near the runway by sea. I have done it a few times and was a mix of scaring and fascinating to see those birds roaring over your head. Of course be aware to respect some distance as per Capitania dos Portos rules and obviously not to be 'blown to water'... Best regards Schmid Oh! I forgot! And what about the spots you can take from Sugar Loaf (more precisely at Morro da Urca) when the birds are landing at 02R!
  11. Some words of faith: I gave up with my old Core2Duo 6550 under XP32 and decided to 'half' upgrade: not to expend too much money, I decided to install a quadcore Q9550 so I could use my existing MoBo. Also I jumped from 2GB to 8GB of a C6 DDR2 memory and, obviously, installed Win7 64 on a new 500GB HD. Not too much money invested and what a GREAT surprise. After many and many hours installing Win7 and tons of updates, plus a fresh FSX+Acceleration and REX, I installed NGX. My settings are at least high or very high and the aircraft is flying like a bird. At 2D I'm getting almost 50 fps which is the limit I set. At external view 45+ fps and at VC 23+ fps. No more crashes, no more freezes. I have made three 45 min flight and just finished a 4 hour flight from MPTO to MMMX. The only problem is IVAP crash - both internal and external - but with no consequences to FSX - which is a known issue to devs and it is expected to be solved on SP1. About 'the skeleton' effect it is still there but it lasts less then 1 second to refresh the external view. Just a 'blink'. And it only appears when I change from 2D cockpit to external view after some minutes flying. When I'm using VC and change to external view there is no 'skeleton' effect. Also the problem I usually had - 'black terrain' - is gone. Obviously I was pushing too hard on my old SO install as now it works like charm. Regards. Schmid
  12. Hi. As far as I learned on the past: - NAV ON and POS Steady at flight preparation.- Beacon ON to warn ground crew that aircraft is ready for startup engines- Taxi on - no need to explain...- Landing lights ON and Strobes ON for landing or take off. On both cases, at 10000ft you turn landing lights off. Somewhere I read that also strobes could be turned off at TA but I'm not pretty sure. I hope things haven't changed. RegardsSchmid
  13. +1 I always have two or three IVAP disconnections/crashes but no FSX fatal error since running IVAP external. I have made some flights with other add-ons running IVAP internally and haven't got a single problem so I doubt it has to do with MSFramework. I have opened a ticket at PMDG support and they kindly answered that they are aware of the problem and trying to solve it possibly with SP1. Regards Schmid.
  14. 1. I do not have a FSUIPC.cfg file on modules folder although I run a registered FSUIPC.2. The latest video driver - NVidia 280.26 - created so many performance problems ... back to 275.33. This have been reported by some other users on another forum.3. Checked. 4. Panel freeze 5. #@%$ Schmid
  15. Andy Yesterday night I had exactly the same behaviour at touch down at a flight from SBGL-SBPA. I could hear the 'clicks' on main panel but the switches didn't move neither change anything. I could move fuel valves at center console up and down but could not cut fuel. At overhead panel the switches move but no changes at lights and so on. I'm at a point that although I love this airplane, the high quality of the graphics, sounds and lights and the responsiveness of all systems, it is unreliable on my rig due to fatal errors and freezes. And no, I don't believe it is a problem with my FSX install, as no other add-on have these problems, including JS41 and all 'systems eaters' from other developers. I hope things will be better with SP1. Regards Schmid
