  1. I have been wrestling with a problem even after verifying Jims settings were the same as mine. When I am in FSX with ASE running, the weather "flickers". More specifically, every 5-10 seconds the visibility and wind, (and no doubt temperature) changes back and forth. This does not happen when I run FSX without starting ASE. When viewing my aircraft from the outside (especially at cruising altitude) I can clearly see the planes nose being deflected by winds, then when the weather flickers, it will fly straight and true, before it flickers again and I can see the planes nose displaced by a sudden re-emergence of wind. Clouds also come and go when the weather flickers. Visibility goes from unlimited, to a ground haze every time it flickers. It is visually irritating. Also, noticed that my throttle jumps from high RPMs to low RPMs when the weather flickers (I would guess because it is trying to maintain speed when the winds pickup, then idle when they go away). Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Howdy all, I have downloaded the POSKY 737-700 southwest aircraft, and noticed the flaps take a few minutes, thats right a few minutes to fully extend. It does not take nearly that much time on other aircraft. has anyone experienced this? Is there a way to increase the speed with which the flaps extend? Also, as a sidebar, did anyone ever figure out how to change the eyepoint of the 2D cockpit? I have to keep my panel transparency up at like 60% (tried searching the forums, but couldnt get any keywords in there). thanks, Jafo
  3. I am using the Creative Soundblaster X-Fi sound card. I am not sure what version driver I have on there, but it is a dedicated soundcard I believe. Its also happened with one other freeware sound set, but its not as annoying as not being able to hear any of the FSX Acceleration aircraft. (the problem exists with the Eh-101, and P51 as well).
  4. This is an Acceleration F-18 problem, but not regarding the carrier launch. When Im playing, the exterior noise of the F-18 is basically inaudible. It is so quiet in fact, that when I am doing a mission (escorting the Cessna Caravan outof Cape Canaveral) you can hear the roar of the Caravan engines from probably 2 miles away OVER the noise of the F18. Theres no way this is correct. Any ideas? I have in no way altered the plane. Stock out of box install of Acceleration. The freeware Superhornet is loud as #### so I know its not just a volume setting...
