Yes, I am ashamed. I am ashamed for not falling into the dust and kissing the feet of companies that are trying to rip off potential customers with half-baked-products and an unfriendly pricing policy because of economical problems. No matter how great the product is, that they're developing right now. RegardsChris

I think nobody is angry about their product itself, but about not granting a fair upgrade price to the customers of the basic version which is obviously a substrate of the upcoming advanced version. So the argumentation against the customers to pay twice because these two versions of one and the same plane would be two completely different products causes the bad feeling amongst people.I think nobody has a lack of respect against the developers but is unhappy with the weird marketing behaviour of this company that rushes out a reportedly buggy product. Nobody is angry because of bugs as they will be patched, relating to Airsimmer announcements but Airsimmer should think about their pricing policy instead of feeling insulted due to criticism from the community. As a company I cannot follow the slogan "no compromise" for years, then make a u-turn overnight and expect the adressed customers to react with appreciation or acceptance. I think following the promotion of Airsimmer many customers clicked on the buy-button without reading because they expected the for long terms announced "no compromise" plane and not a still buggy lite version without any upgrade option.RegardsChris

Yep, their forums are full of hot-headed people that don't get the point... :( RegardsChris

I see only one hot-headed person and that is not me.By the way: I migrated to FSX so I can see this marketing disaster from a very relaxed point of view. But as you wish: Feel free to ignore me. I can easily live with that.RegardsChris

I like that oi,oi,oi-thing, so I decided to leave it in the quote. :( About the PMDG MD11: This was one of the best releases I have seen for years. The bugs were so extremely minor, that many magazines for flight-simulation called the MD11 completely bug-free. Same thing about their Jetstream release. Airsimmer has to prove and beat this first, before calling something finished, especially when it was rushed out like your "basic edition". And by the way: We are talking about a fully developed MD11, with all systems working, right? And what did I read about your "as bugfree as PMDG"-release yet? Not working engine startup-sound, loss of cabin-ventilation-sound,... I'm sure we can extend the list during the next 24 hours. Sorry, I don't believe any of your "bug free" postings.RegardsChris

I completely agree with you. But I'm quite sure that Airsimmer won't achieve anything by this behaviour. You know the company called PMDG? As I can't check it I have to believe you. But as I don't believe Airsimmer anything from today, it is hard to believe you.Although I have to state you're doing an admirable job in defending your friends' company against the FS community's anger and criticism.RegardsChris

You must be kidding, Ryan. Then please explain this text from your forums: Wasn't the bug-o-meter at 59% a few days ago?Regards Chris

Hand me another suit, mates. I'm completely with you. I won't support a company with this marketing behaviour.Sorry Ryan, you guys seem to think that the whole FS-community consists of stupid morons. Now let me tell you what I think: I think you wanted to revolutionize Airbus-Simulation on FS9 and FSX. And you are and were on a good way. Unfortunately you ran out of money and thought what to do now. You realized that there are always people in the FS community that buy everything in an unreflective way as soon as it is available. So why not making them pay the further development of the Airsimmer A320, right? And instead of behaving like a civilized company you denied those people's requests for a fair priced upgrade option, following the idea: "Buy it once, realize you want some more system simulation and then - you little customer moron- pay again the full price. The result of this behaviour is that people like me will never buy one of your products because they won't accept and support your weird marketing behaviour. And just by the way: 99% of the FS community expected you to bring out an airplane with a PMDG-like system depth. So what did you today: You made a large part of the FS community angry and not wanting to suppot you any longer. If the economical crisis hasn't struck you to the extent I'm sure it will in the next weeks if you don't think over your ethically innaceptable pricing policy. This is not to insult or attack you personally, It is just they way I feel right now about Airsimmer what I considered to be a promising option until today. Here in Germany there is a saying that I want to try to translate to English: Never cut the branch you are sitting on.And another one fitting the case: Never bite the hand that is feeding you!RegardsChris
