No visual translation of my control Yoke or parking brake to VC
After further testing. Success! I found the yoke would not work correctly in the yoke control function of simulator. It would keep the Ailerons turned left. I use FSUIPC for all assignments, always have and will. I had to remove the yoke assignments from the FSUIPC "normal axis" and reassign it to FSUIPC calibration mode for it to be read by the 777. Thank You,

No visual translation of my control Yoke or parking brake to VC
I have a small problem with the Yoke and parking brake actions of my cockpit translating to the VC of the 777 in both FSX and P3D, (ither version when it is loaded.) I can control the A/C with the yoke in manual flight. The foot pedals work fine for rudder and brakes. My controls do operate normally in the 737 in both platforms but not the 777. I have the latest updates for all that is required. There is no visual representation of Ailerons or the parking brake lever. The Ailerons on the wings do show operation if I use the keyboard controls, but not the parking brake. It does not show as operating on the text message on the screen either. I use Precision flight controls and have the latest PFchid141 and FSUIPC loaded and operating. I have done the sim connect repair and start the aircraft from the scenerio screen to get the mouse to operate the VC. But it does it in both FSX and P3d. They did show operation at one time before some update of product. This showed up before P3dV3. I have reinstalled the A/C and unplugged and re-plugged the yoke, no joy. Ideas ? Thank You,

I am at a loss with the 737 NGX and my FSX
Very simple really. I had to unplug all my addon controls, yoke, throttles. The PMDG did not want to use the cfg's of them to load up. After unplugging all, the aircraft loaded loaded normally. Then i had to deal with new cfg's for all the hardware as they were then read differently in FSX. That was it.

AS a follow up to this. All is well now. PMDG tech support has helped me and problem solved. Thanks

I am at a loss with the 737 NGX and my FSX
Greetings, As an purchaser and user of all the PMDG products I cannot figure this one out. The 737 NGX was working great and no problems until last weekend. It will load up to the VC cockpit and the CTD. I have searched the forums for an answer to this with so many postings it is difficult to find a post with this problem. The Problem: I have reformatted all my drives. Clean install of win 7 64 bit, I7 3.5GHZ, nvidia gforce GTX 690, 16G ram. A new purchase of FSX gold with accel. I have not put on any scenery addons, no payware items except for FSUIPC, basic yucky FSX. I works fine. The drivers are up to date as of yesterday. An install of the 737 goes as planned, enter the code, OK the dlls, say yes to the gauge loads, it starts up to the VC cockpit and the CTD ! each and every time. It shows the cockpit and will not go any farther. Am I missing something? Like I said before it worked then quit. This is getting frustrating. I will wear out my license tries to get this working. Any honest help will be appreciated. Thanks

PMDG NGX hangup in flight
I loaded up the last service pack 1c today and let it go. Seems to have taken care of any freezing problems. I am reluctantly going to activate the coautil and FSDreamteam, along with my Aerosoft airports now. And see if that has any adverse affects. WLP

PMDG NGX hangup in flight
Update on my problem; did several flights #1. Started with just the 737 loaded, basic first load no Service packs, turned off all the scenery addons and flew just the FSX. No freezes. #2 loaded the Hotfix for the 737 and flew the same CFG as above. No freezes. #3 loaded the scenery addons on and flew. No freezes. #4 loaded SP1 for PMDG. Loaded scenery except the FSdreamteam and the coatil (sp) and flew. No freezes. #5 loaded SP1b for PMDG Loaded scenery except the FSdreamteam and the coatil (sp) and flew. No freezes. I have not gone farther yet with the SP1c. Will try tommorrow and then put on the Dreamteam stuff. News to me here; Maybe I didn't RTFM. I was digging on the forums and I read that you need to load the SP's one at a time and then operate the aircraft in FSX each time. I loaded all at once the last time I loaded the 737 and maybe that is the trick. Maybe this is the trick.

PMDG NGX hangup in flight
I believe this is not a "ticketable" offense here. The product works great. It is more of a software to my hardware problem I am sure. I was just hoping that someone had a similar problem and had a workaround for it. I will keep plugging along and some time I will find the solution. And yes I don't want to continue for more hours on this. Thanks all,

PMDG NGX hangup in flight
By hang up I mean just that. At about the 5 minute mark all functions on the fsx/b737/computer stop. Nothing for, I time these stops, from 5 - 20 seconds. Then it will start up again. It is loading data and doing its thing. It is doing it in spurts. I am not a new guy to the FS world but this one has me stumped. It has done it since I purchased it and followed thru with all the updates. This is the only PMDG aircraft that does this. I use it as it is a great performing virtual airplane. One of the best out there. My friend and both have the same issue, but no one else I know does. Go figure. ?? Thanks

PMDG NGX hangup in flight
My friend and I collectivley and separately have searched for the answer to our hang up. I sat back and stripped the fsx to the barest bones I can, deleted ALL the PMDG NGX files folder and what not reloaded from the git go. I put my computer into the barest mode I can. The thing still hangs up every couple of minutes. The only thing I can guess is the inner workings of my comfuser is not working totally as it should. I am at a loss and now will have to just deal with it. Thanks.

PMDG NGX hangup in flight
Greetings, I cannot seem to find a post among the thousands here for this, so.. While operating the NGX the FS program always stops about every 5 +- minutes to load up. Sometimes for up to 20 secs. Now I have all the payware A/C out there, it seems, plus all the payware scenery available. My system can handle all of it with plenty to spare. Not matter how I configure FSX for any kind of performance the PMDG 737 NGX will hang up like I said. This is the only aircraft which does this. It is loading up data, I know. It can be annoying at times, it continues normally after it does it. Once in a while it will CTD. I know of two other friends which this also does this too. This can't be a normal thing. Does this happen to others? I am not going to list all the things I have done to FSX to help out memory, performance, video, sound. etc... I have tried them all from this and many other forums. I have tweaked and untweaked my FSX cfg. Any good suggestions accepted. Thanks Wayne

A little help here for a small problem
Thanks people, I looked at the forum on the above mentioned reply and can see that I have the same issues. I have come to the conclusion it is a config conflict with my system and the PMDG 737NGX. I have to work around it now. I deleted the FSX.cfg and started it up anew and it worked fine. I did drop the fancy CFG tweak that was offered in the manual and that stopped my problem, sort of. As the engine was spooling up I was watching the N1 and as it got near the 20.5 mark, it slowed and stopped momentarily. I immediatley added throttle to "keep it going". I did this on both engine readouts and throttles. This just might have been a non issue but worth trying.Thanks.

FSX Throttle
Edmundo, Your FSX config is in your C:\Users\*yourname*\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX. It is a hidden file and you need to turn on hidden files in your control panel config system for your computer to see it and use it. The saitek problem is a conflict with the FS control programming and your Saitek programming. Do not use the the SAITEK program. It is no good. Your FS program is assigning your funcitons by itself and need to be deleted manually within FSX. Use the menu and go to the control settings and you have to delete all references to any and all joystick in all categories. It take a long time. And you should get if you do not have a paid version of FSUIPC which will allow you to configure your joyticks, and yoke within it to operate. I works much better. This will take time and make sure you save all the files which have the settings as things will get messed up by default in FSX at times. The Spad works well with my saitek multipanel. BTW I do not use Saitek yokes or throttles anymore. They have worn out and quickly. I now use a commercial product for flight training, but the idea is the same. Good Luck

A little help here for a small problem
Greetings.I really enjoy using this aircraft simulation. Well made stuff.I have one problem I cannot seem to rectify. I believe I am pretty well versed in the use of the FSX, my computer system, operations of many types of the aircraft simulations I have purchased. I also am one whom reads manuals to try to figure out what is wrong or how to operate such.But.. I cannot figure this one out. I may be missing just one step and cannot find it. When I load up the NGX all functions work great, as it loads up operating and engines running, with throttle operation normal. Flys wonderfully, virtually. Now if I make it cold and dark, which I like to do, after all the systems checks and following all the checklists, after I start the engines I have no throttle control to operate the engines. By this I mean the throttles are connecting with the sim and move, visually, but they will not, do not, and I cannot make them operate the engines. The N1 is at 20.5 and that is where they stay. There is no indication of the throttles linking to the engine systems. It is like the linkage is cut, physically. I have no failures installed, all other functions work but no throttle control. I have retried several times and even reloaded the NGX 2X, but the functions are the same, NO JOY ! I have included a photo which shows the throttles advanced but still no movement on the panel displays. The N1 still show at 20. I have the manuals spread out on my navigation table and cannot find out what I would be looking for. I am not a flight engineer on this aircraft so I am lost. It has to be one item I am missing.Any suggestions? Thanks

uninstall and reinstall
OK here I go. I figured it out and if someelse has sort of the same problem then woe to you. (see quote above)Windows Vista had put the uninstall setup.exe in a HIDDEN file under the user/appdata/roaming/etc../etc..I had to unlock the hidden files and then find the uninstall information directory. In there is a list of separate files with a whole bunch of numbers and letters for the file name. I had to look at each one and find anything with the words MD-11 in it. Delete that particular file and then go to the uninstall programs from the control panel and then delete the entry there also. It seems the setup.exe for deletion had become corruputed, and that took care of it.I am a decent computer user and can find my way around in the inners if I had direction. Sure it was a "meaningful learning xperience" but it was frustrating. I found this out on my own by sheer luck, even something the techno-computer-guys didn't know or would not impart to me.ThanksSIGNED; WAYNE L. PIERCE

uninstall and reinstall
I am reposting this as I really need some help from someone in the audience who understands the file system on the PMDG MD-11 and windows ops. I have contacted PMDG and the answer was; "It sounds like something wiped the uninstall data from your Windows Registry as the installer most certainly placed it there"No kidding! I can't use, unload, reeninstall the aircraft. I am hoping that someone would know which file I need to find to delete which then will allow me to delete and then reeinstall.Thanks.Earlier post;"Greetings, I can't uninstall the MD-11 at all. Several files I know were corrupted on the computer. Now trying to uninstall using the windows remove programs will not work. I can find no uninstall file on the computer for the MD-11 if any came with it. It will not reinstall over as it says I need to uninstall. I have tried deleteing all the files I can find but that doesn't work either so I put them back. Is there some files I need to remove so I can start over. This all started as the 2d cockpit wouldn't show all the windows correctly so I was just going to reenstall the A/C.Using FS9. Windows vista 64bit

FMC "not in data base"
You were correct. I was assuming that whatever came with the A/C for use on my home flite simming world would be good forever. Thanks for the help. :-)

FMC "not in data base"
Greetings, Using Windows xp, fs9, have PMDG 747 and 737 all models. Now, I can't seem to load any nav data in the FMC's. All airports entries come up with the same "not in database" The FMC show the NAV DATA9 AIRAC-0313 DEC 25 JAN21/04 loaded. I am following the manual page for page and when it gets to the entering of an airport in "not in database" comes up.Am I missing something? I have reloaded and all looks ok. All seems to be in order in database files and such. Following the advise from the manual it says update files by going to Navdata.at and download file the "All in one installer" to update. Well, I can't see that either on the site.Just a little frustrated here.Thanks.
