Kimmo,Only half an hour ago, I also had a freeze of Fs-9 with the cracling sound as a sure token of trouble.However, I use Alacrity to free up some resources and I have the feeling that it has something to do with that utitlty (not with the program as such but with the settings and the services it shuts down).I don't (not now anyway) use a multimonitor setup so I doubt the two problems are related. good afternoon everybody,since I'm in "asking-mode" after a nasty OOM this morning, here's another one.After reading through various posts about the OOM problem, I downloaded the FlightsimManager and found with the diagnostic tools that I have 24 landclass files. See included file....Is there anybody who has experienced any OOM's that could be traced back to one of the files in the log...?You'll notice that a lot of those files are from payware scenery addon's. I guess those files are ok and that they are not misplaced but who knows?All help welcomeLuc BrusselmansBadger - Belgium

Gary,thanks for pointing me in the right direction.I have followed your 'tutorial' to the letter so it should be ok.But I have another question.I understand that this switch is more or less a solution for 32-bits OS's because a 64-bit OS doesn't need it.Does that mean that changing to vista 64bit, the OOM's are out of the way, providing there are no double afcad's or misplaced landclassfiles?I am in the process of making the change to windows vista at the moment so maybe it is the right moment to change from 32bit to 64bit?all thoughts about the subject are welcome.Luc BrusselmansBadger - Belgium

Good afternoon,This is probably a very stupid question.I have the usual OOM's when flying the 747 from PMDG and after reading through the various posts during most of this morning, I have added the /3Gb switch to my boot ini file.That was the easy part but do I have to tell Fs-9 (of FS-X) that they have to use that switch (LARGEADDRESSAWARE). Good evening everybody,I have been using the downloadversion of the 737 family for quite some time and had no problems in the past.Last week, after losing some critical files from my harddrive, I decided that I would be better off buying the boxed version of both the 737-600 as the 737-800.I installed them on a pristine copy of FS-9 (with update) and now I have this problem.When I activate the FMC, it works fine but... when I click on the 4-button, the display says 7, when I click on the 7-button, the display says 7 and when clicking on the ,-button, I also get a 7 on the scratchpath...any suggestions on what is going on?I am using windows WP proAll help appreciated.Luc BrusselmansBelgium

Hello everybody,Is there anybody who can help me to install the latest drivers for this stick and throttle?Here's my problem:The cd, included in the box, has the drivers and the programmingsoftware on it for windows XP.They install fine but when I check the website, I find completely new drivers and software.The drivers I can install just fine but the programmingsoftware refuses to install correctly.There is also no clear indicaion what the files contain.for the file 'Saitek_X52Pro_Flight_Controller_SD6_32' I now that it contains the drivers and that the file 'Saitek_X52Pro_Flight_Controller_SD6_32_Software' should contain the software but this last file doesn't install anything when executed.Can anybody guide me through?ThanksLuc BrusselmansBelgium

Everybody,thanks for pointing me in the right direction.Although the solution to my problem was not to be found in the settings inside Fs X but in the BIOS of my new pc.It seems that one of the settings (S.M.A.R.T) for my HD was causing the major problem.So now I can start to play around with the settings inside FS to get the most of the sim.Thanks againLuc BrusselmansBelgium

Good Evening Gentlemen,I'm a bit in a tight spot at the moment and I can't find the way out it seems.My system is newly build and has the following specs:- PSU: Zalman ZM850-HP- MB: Gigabyte EX-38T-DQ6- CPU: Intel E8500 (OCed to 3.80 Mhz)- MEM: Corsair PC3-14400 1800Mhz cas 7 (2 Gb)- MSI N9800 GTX 512 Mb(driver used: 175.16 and 175.60, Nhancer (latest version)- Creative SB X-fi- Vista32 Business.I installed only the OS (and its updates) and Flightsim X (with SP1 and accelaration).The result is, with a slight sense for drama, terrible.I have used all possible tricks up my sleeve to get same decent framerates out of this setup but so far without succes.I have browsed through the forum here, found some tips and tricks but none seem to help.My main problem is not that I can't get decent framerates. In fact, I locked the sim at 22 frames and quite often, I get those 22 frames but not consistent. I get frames between 22 and 7 as if my pc is doing something in between that interferes with fs X.I have used alacrityPC to close down as many processes as possible but to no avail.I can use some help here...Luc BrusselmansBelgium
