  1. I KenMy new email addresses are [email protected]@wanadoo.fr Just few quick answers to port old aircraft to FlyLegacy a) Most of work to do are in the panel area where gauge are defined differently (all file in data directory related to panel) FSC file for autopilot is replaced by PID filec) A new PHY file is needed for physical adjustmentd) Small addition here and there but very few Infortunatly we have not make a porting guide yet I suggest you read the FAQ and the few documents related to this subject (ne Gauges for instance) if not already done (if you dont have them, I or Laurent will send it to you following an email)Then start to study those files from the CESNA,then ask me or Laurent tons of questions and we wil do our best to answer them. I will be back mondayRegardsJean
  2. Hi KenI see you did post some questions on Simvol about Legacy compatibility with FlyII aircraftThere have been a lot of new developpement concerning the aircraft cockpit in order to support large resolution like 1980 * 1200So we had to introduce new ways like using texture rotation for needles, and use the full OpenGL potential to make tings runing faster. This permit now to animate a gauge with only one picture rather than the old way of supplying 360 pictures (one per degre)and computing a frame numberHowever our goal was also to maintain compatibility with some previous aircraft, but we have lack of time to achieve this for the current release. It means that we probably miss some points here and there for previous aircraft to work with this release. Now it would also be nice if we could update those aircraft to work with the new gauge design, and we certainly need some help in this area.Anyway, we will look in this matter somewhere along the line, though actually, I cannot give a firm timeline. If you have more question, or would like to work (why not) in this migration process, please feel free to mail [email protected]
