  1. Yes, this happens when ILS APP to RJAA 34L for intercepting GS at COSMO(4000FT).(I can remember that every time I use IDEL CLAMP to 4000ft and when GS is on the plane suddenly climbs). ILS APPs having a long final leg(another example is ZBAA ILS01) will probally make the climb-interceptings happen. Hope it can be solved. Thanx!Anning WongZBAA
  2. Hi, Jim! With all of my appreciation for you, I write this reply and want to tell you that the pb is settled, at least so far. With the clue from you, I noticed that my pb is possiblely caused by the time zone bug of FS, the bug is severer in China, Japan, Australia where I often visit. I can tell you that with default time zone of FS, RJFF, fukuka of Japan is +8 where should be +9,and my FS just makes the GMT+1 but not Local time +1 when I cross the tz boundary that makes my reported reloading of scenery files.Yes, I am sure of no tz add-ons installed before I am sure that the bug is the real culprit! You mentioned FS Real Time and I decide to have a try. Ok, this time, from Jakarta (+7) to Hong kong(+8), I can't tell how happy I was when I saw a smooth tz transition under the control of FS RT without the bothering reloading and of course with a engaged VNAV mode! So, any way, I wanna say thank you very much Jim and tonight I will make a Shanghai to Vancouver using my favourite MD-11(auto step climb that let me sleep:)). Regards, Anning.:)
  3. Hi, Jim. Finally I find that everytime my plane enters a new time zone, the FS will load scenery, terrain, traffic, etc.(no time sync ha~) Just this loading makes the game actually paused(not really pause but I think my plane hangs up there as the FS loading) and during the loading IAS and altitude displays jumped. One of my friends reports the same loading to me who is also a oceanic flight love like us and the other two report NEVER entounted any enroute loadings during their trip from EGLL to VHHH. Now, it is toatally confused to me that whether the loading is abnormal or not and why the instruments would trembling during the loading and after that loading everything seems all right excepted a disengaged FMC SPD and PROF mode.(I fly MD-11). I check all the settings of FS even the FS.CFG with the one from my friends, nothing could be found. Continues my head ache~~~~
  4. Thank you Jim, you can say it again and I am checking FS settings one by one with my friends.Hope this works.
  5. Thank you Jim for your timely reply. I try to disable the time sync but the pb is still there. I think when FS makes enroute loading during my long range fight( FS Global 2008 and some other Add-On sceneries installed and with full effect, so every one or two hrs FS will load scenery files of current acft locaion or something ), wx data from closest wx station will aslo be loaded just like you enter the game with the "FLY NOW".This might be predefined by MS and the FS will do it regardless the fact that the current wx is handled and filtered by ASV6(local range suppression? ) which means the current one may defer from the closest wx and the stupid FS will just load the closest one.If this is right, all I should to do is to ensure the fs always provided wx data by the closest wx station.Am I right? I dont know whether the local suppression is the "culprit" in my case and whether should I enable the Global Writting or something to solve this heat ached pb?I know few about the philosopy of the wx engine and how AS works, So, pls do hlp to advise me a proper setting that will ensure the FS enroute loading of closest wx data is identical with my enroute wx data(primary the pressure) proviede by the lovely AS V6.5.Thank you for your great hlp!Anning Wong
  6. No time sync in fsuipc and sync the time using FSINN. The time sync make that happen or I should disable the FSINN time sync?Thanx!
  7. Got this problem like this: long range flight, cover several time zones. During flight, the FS will automatically load new scenery and other files with a progress bar when I am far away the departure airport. After the loading, I can see the altimeter and IAS jumped! Obviously the FS set a new weather parameters(temp and barometric pressure I think) during the loading. changes are so sudden and abrupt that the VNAV mode can not sustain and disengage right away.My friends with almost the same FS and Add-Ons installed dont have this problem. Any body has some idear or a solution to prevent this? This is confusing because only after the auto loading will result in this problem. My condition: Vista Utimate+FS9.1+Active Sky 6.5(default setting)+fsuipc(3.85 defual setting but smooth wind)+FSINN(WX update inhibited).
  8. Hi guys here, the following problem may not lie in the AS, but I do need help, thanx!Problem is: long flight (ie: EFHK-VHHH) setup with PMDG plane, AS6.5(online mode with other settings defaulted), FSUIPC 3.85 with default setting. 1-2 hours after take off, the FS will load something with a progress bar indicating the FS loading scenery and somthing else just like the way it does after you click the "Fly now". After this, you will see a overspeed airplane and wrong altitude displayed .So,with MD-11, the PROF and FMS SPD mode disengaged and leave my plane just under the overspeed red tape and a FL like 37080. Damn it! I think during FS's loading something changed the ambiant barometer pressure quite a lot that leads to a overspeed and different altitude displayed, But actually this is a level off and constant speed cruizing airplane.I check the FS weather, "USER DEFINED"--no problem. The enroute weather parameters are definetely from AS, but why, why after the above mentioned FS loading, the pressure will change this much. More amazing, after this loading and AS refreshing, every thing will be back to normal but waiting for the next FS loading that ruin my autopilot again. I tried to delete the FS9.CFG to establish a clean one and reset all the setting relavent to default, but the problem is still there. Could somebody help? Many thanx! My cfg: Windows Vista Utimate+FS2004+FSINN(FSINN weather inhabited)+AS6.5+PMDG(MD-11/744/737NG)
  9. Thank you all vrey much for giving me these helpful hints! I will try it and before that I think the use of VS mode or the IAS 270 or a speed lower than ECON CLB speed with Clamp mode in the altitude transition will be a good solution. Don't be lasy to hard over the MD totally to the AFS and do something to talk with my plane, haha!Anning Wong
  10. Again ,with the problem within reclimb in SID climb. My situation is like this: after take off, AUTOFLIGHT, NAV mode and PROF mode engaged and aircraft configurated clean (aircraft configed throgh PMDG laod manager with TOCG 21-22). I am on a SID for example with a navaid limits FL128. The MD levels off at FL128 automatically until passing that navaid. when passing that point, it will climb again in accordance with the FMC settings until reaching my enroute FL.Problem is: at such FL, usually exceeds FL100, with all the things under FMC control and AUTOFLIGHT engaged, the speed (ECON CLB spee,d CI 70-80, usually 32xknots) is near the overspeed red tape, once the aircraft passing the SID altitude limit point and begin to take CLB throttle to climb again, it nose up with the IAS increases about 8-10knots above the FMC computed climb speed. SO, with the PITCH mode at FMA, the aircraft will further nose up to a vertical speed of 5000 or even 6000 to slow down the MD back to its ECON CLB speed, after that, speed and pitch angel stabilized as it should be during a normal climbout. During the above mentioned time, two citical issues: 1) As the ECON CLB speed is already near the overspeed red tape, with the +10knot during nose up, so far, I already received the OVERSPEED warning for two times during the nose up-down-stabilized phase in SID climbout. 2). VS above 5000ft/min(sometimes 6000 whem nose up after level off) is not OK for the passengers and I'v been on a real MD-11 flight with no feeling at all that the MD has conducted a expidite climb during the whole phase of flight(Thai International Reg No. HS-TMD , flight from Jakarta to Bangkok ) I don't know where the problem is and already referred to the PMDG materials. My friend also got the same problem with his MD too.Should i override the AT with joystick input in this phase of flight to prevent overspeed. With this problem, I careflly watched the ITTV cockpit video of MD-11 of Matinair, I can see the pilot only changed the MCP altitude setting as the ATC instructed, nothing more. My experience with FS is that, with the CWS and some other sophisiticated systems integraded in the flight management or control system(for Airbus is Flight Augmentation Computer (FAC) and the Elevator and Aileron Computer (ELAC), the complexity of the simulation software of these highly computerized aircraft is reaching a new high. So, with my heart, I want to say thank you to the guys in PMDG team and hopes a perfect MD-11 will finally be realized.I am not a native speaker, so, Sorry for my English and hope it can be understood.Anning Wong
  11. Finally got the MD-11 to fly under my control(most of the time airborne is AUTOFLIGHT of course). after 100hr with the MD-11 on the route operation, i find a problem that i want to discuss with you guys here.Take a standeard takeoff( FMC set without any problem) and conduct a SID. usually, you will encouter a altitude constraint for example FL128ft, with the PROFILE mode engaged and MCP set the enroute FL, the MD-11 will level off at FL128 automatically utill passing the constraint point with the ECON climb speed usually over 310Knots, ok , then ,the problem coming, once it passing the point and begin to nose up again, with the AT increases the power to the CLB throttle and the FMA tells me the speed mode is PITCH means AUTOFLIGHT will use pitch up or down to maitain the ECON CLE speed, however, maybe, i say maybe, the pitch control is somehow sluggish or the AT increase the power too fast, the IAS increase about 10knots beyond the target speed with the VS exceeding 6000ft/min to slow the ACFT down, that is dangerous cause above FL100 the ECON CLB speed is near the OVERSPEED MARGIN and already caused the overspeed warnings TWICE to me ! I think the problem lies in the Autoflight system, i mean there coordinations. the same problem lies in WILCO AIRBUS whole fleet and unfortunately now exits in the PMDG fleet( PMDG737 is ok with this). Any body has some idear about this?
