  1. Manny - have your communicated your distress to Earth Simulations ? I find them a pretty responsive lot. Jim R. PS: I also have this scenery, but my only observation was that it showed that my processor was not really man enough for the job.
  2. Desparately seeking a Short Sunderland for FSX. Have searched and found one commercial product, but would appreciate the views and recommendations of anyone who has actually tried this aircraft. Cheers. Jim R
  3. Thank you both for your response and suggestions. I think the thought of something getting in the way of the keystrokes pointed me in the right direction - and changing the batteries in my wireless keyboard solved the problem. And not only did I then blast off handsomely, but I came round and made my first ever successful carrier landing the the F/A-18 !Best regards. Jim R.
  4. I run Win 7, and have FSX with Acceleration. So my list of missions include the Carrier Tutorial using the F/A-18. Which used to work fine, with the keyboard instructions Shift+q (tailhook), Shift+u (launch bar), Shift +I (take off assist), and Shift+spacebar (takeoff) all doing their thing as expected. But now for some reason neither Shift + I or Shift + space bar work. The other two are still fine. I have checked that these keyboard operations appear as they should in Settings. Can anyone offer an explanation/cure for this glitch please ? Would appreciate help.Jim R
  5. Newbie - are you by chance using Horizon Generation X scenery ? I know (by my own experience) that there is a small conflict between this and the default West Malling, and it is readily fixed. JimR.Edit: Sorry I meant my reply for Idiotboy, JimR
