I also have had a panel freeze, during FMC interaction, typing is possible but nothing is displayed in the scratchpad. The menu buttons work just fine I can switch between all pages. The scratchpad gives the message "INVALID ENTRY" which I can't delete. Happened during route modifying. Strange thing is throttles don't work anymore but F1-F4 does work all other inputs are unresponsive. MCP seems to work, can dail in speed, heading, alt. EFIS panel works and also updates the display (range, WPT, ARPT and so on) although the aircraft is flying the position remains fixed on the display (was skidding along the ground somewhere over Rotterdam while the display still said I was above Schiphol. Then after a few minutes all my frustrated MCP input appears on the scratchpad but again can't be deleted. There I ended the flight. I also installed AIRAC 1107 but that was where I got the freeze with... Regards, Edwin Osterloh

I also have a (maybe) related sound issue. When I'm in the VC and shut down the engines and electrical power (cold and dark), the sound goes away (ofcourse) but when I then go to an other view mode and then back to the VC most of those sounds are back again and only audiable in the VC. So that means I can never fly with a second viewport opened, thats a bummer. What I do is: I make the new viewport put it to the side and then make the main viewport active again, have 50+ FPS at EHAM with both viewports open so performance isn't much of an issue here. For me the panel freeze seems to be only all the glass panels (inboard/outboard/center/lower). It happens when I add a new view, for example the right wing view. The moment I make the view the CDU's dont update anymore. All the knobs, levers, switches, throttles seem to work just fine. Cycling the view mode doesn't help but when I close the new viewport and then cycle the view modes the CDU's pop back to life. I sometimes use an alternative view to see my own takeoff and landing from the passenger perspective. Tried it at various locations and with both 800 and 900 series. For now I just don't make extra viewports.
