Well, I fiddled around a bit and was able to get rid of the sunken runways by this rather clumsy routine: I did not disable the FTX scenery with FTX central, rather I disabled the FTX scenery areas manually within the fsx scenery folder. However, the FTX "CFX" folder must remain activated for the appropriate flying area, then the mega scenery airport elevations seem to work ok. Maybe a better way to do this out there.

I have both ORBX scenery, and mega scenery earth 2.0. When I use one, the other is disabled. Recently, however, when I disable the ORBX scenery, and activate mega scenery Oregon and California for example, many airports have sunken runways. All elevations were fine with mega scenery California, but after installing ORBX Northern Cal, the sunken runways appear in mega scenery California even though the ORBX scenery is disabled. Does anyone have any thoughts on why this might be occuring? Thanks

Great idea, and I just ordered the sim-savvy scenery. Hope to enjoy fsx for many years to come!
