John, Don't think it would be fair to compare both (Kodiak vs Bronco) at least in term of rw utility, usage, etc.But strickly "simming" speaking, i can safely say that the Bronco is quite ahead of the Kodiak in several aspects (vc textures, FDE, etc). This of course is strickly a personal opinion, and i still enjoy my virtual Kodiak. But since you were looking for a comparaison, that''s my take on it.

Must admit it is always a great thrill to be able to discover an entire new country because of FSX.Thanks to ORBX, Flight1 and Hifi Sim for this one...
-
First flight in the Aerosoft Bronco. Will need a bit of practice to tame it, but... wow!Somewhere near Wanaka, NZ
-
Same here, happens with the ORBX Lancair. Usually hitting "h" solves the issue. Was told it's an FSX limitation with plans that do not have carb heat.
-
Exactly Steffen. To each its own.For me, it's just perfect. At least for 80% of the type of virtual flying I do.Too little and too slow for me... :( -
45 minutes into my 1st flight and having a blast. Gotta love those huge door windows. Awesome for VFR flying and sightseeing.Cruise speed is just right also. The Garmin suite is really good and with just the right amount of data to work with. But then again, this is a plane to look outside the windshield and enjoy! Thus far, thumbs up to Flight1

Downloaded and installed. Reading the manual as i type this and then off to ORBX NZSI. Screenshots to follow.

Thanks for that. Guess I had missed that one! Will check once home this evening.

I can confirm similar situation. All my flights thus far in NZ (using ASE) are in similar conditions has stated above: no wind and temps around 0 celcius, quite different than rw conditions at time of flight. First time this occurs for me. But then again, first time I "fly" in NZ also

Thanks to all my friends! Was away for a few days so sorry for the delays in replying. And yup, i need to clean that windshield before my next flight. Let's just say i was out of Windex!

One of the nice things of taking either voluntary or involuntary breaks from flight simming like I do a few times a year, is that it's always such a blast when you get back it... Morning free flight in Bowerman (Aerosoft Katana 4X)

God bless cockpit shots. Nice ones mon ami.
-
Many thanks for those greats VC shots. I am still a few weeks away from getting the NGX, but really looking forward to it.
-
Actually Phantom, I could start an entire Katana Randoms thread just for you... That would really make you want it! And note that the designer mentioned this week that the awaited patch with a few fixes AND some new features is on short final.

''Trust me... I have done this before!'' Leaving Baker City, OR in good company.

Aerosoft Katana 4X in the Stark's Twin Oaks area (south of Portland). Disclaimer: I fooled around in PS a bit to increase the brightness to see how it would turn out online. Looks like it's blueish a bit, although not in PS... oh well, still fun times.

Thanks!I am not really a "spot" view specialist for screenshots, so I am happy to see it turned out not too bad. But like i always say, i just oress the V key, it's the great add-on developpers that do the real magic!

I am usually a vc shot guy, but could not resist with this one. Turbine Duke climbing out of KMYL on a gorgeous Idaho morning.

I too was quite pleasantly surprised when i found out about this release (only yesterday because of this thread). And I am also happy to see that Bert enjoys it. Same question, is there an automatic config tool for the RXP 530, or was it Bert's personal magic at work? I usually do my retrofits on my own, but I see some 3D in there and wondering about the relationship with the RXP.

As i sit here in my virtual cockpit, cruising at 13 000' on my way to KMYL in the Flight1 C182T (35 minutes to go) I am having one of those moments when the only thing i can think about is how much I still enjoy this hobby, and how far it has gone since my first virtual flight out of Meiggs field on my 386sx in my college dorm room.At this moment, I don't give a damn about all the hobby $$$ spent on flight simming, the tweaks, the CTDs, I just enjoy the fact that here I am in real-time and real weather with the sun now up in the Idaho skies, flying over amazing scenery, and still enjoying it.Sometimes, we tend to forget about those things.

Debating this myself. I have not flown the NG in a long time (great FS9 memories!) so will need to refresh and remember a bunch of old reflexes.More than likely it will be ORBX Canberra (YSCB) to ORBX Cairns (YBCS). My plan is to use thhe NGX in Australia between the various ORBX add-on's.Bryan K.
-
Well thanks Master Ed! Coming from you, I will take as a good compliment. And that is of course the RXP 530.
-
Even ORBX will likely admit that all the NA FTX packages are better than the Australia products. The various ground textures are way better and more efficient. But one most compare apples with apples. We are talking here of the FTX products (landclass, textures, etc) and not the various ORBX add-on airports. And yes, the titles from Australia are breathtaking. But FTX for FTX, the 4 North America packages are better than Australia, at least IMHO."IMHO this is OrbX's best work yet"Better than the Australia scenery? I doubt it. -
Not sure if I am allowed to post the direct link to Flightsim Store, but I bought it (download version) a few days ago. And I was not on the pre-purchase list.

Nice shots J! Always was tempted by that Norway package, but also always intimidated by the install process. Might just take the plunge one of these days. Just to have one Europe spot to fly (and therefore covering my various time zone areas).
