  1. We released the first update yesterday afternoon (1.3.2.1) specifically to support Windows 8. With that, if you're still having issues, please post on our Support Forums and we'll be happy to help you further.
  2. As the primary developer of the TacPack, I'm genuinely curious as to why this is your reaction. I'll presume a bit and say that I know that in the past there was some concern we were going to "ruin" FS by allowing anyone to shoot down anyone else. Please understand this is not the case. Users with the TacPack cannot in any way harm non-TacPack users. Furthermore, we've gone out of our way to make sure the TacPack refuses to even attempt to fire weapons or create TacPack-specific objects in MP sessions where the host is not also running the TacPack. We get that not everyone is keen on combat and have explicitly made the TacPack something that can only affect those who choose to use it. Chris
  3. Actually, I think it IS fair to call the controller issues "major bugs." Certainly far more major than we would have released if we had known about them in advance. In the end, they slipped by all our testing. Every developer's system, every beta tester's system was working as expected with the initial release version. We're a very small team and we just weren't able to test all the configs out there. Additionally, our code was far too finicky about controller setups being "right" rather than being as forgiving as the default FSX input system. (Leading to systems that could be made to work with proper tweaking, but not working "out of the box")We've worked our butts off since the release to refine, and finally reimplement, our controller input subsystem. We're currently uploading a patch that contains the results of this rewrite. All the testing we've done shows that it works, including on systems of users affected by bugs in the previous implementations. We're hopeful this update will indeed get us back on track and allow us to re-open the store. We're taking the wait and see approach, however, since again, we just don't have the resources to test every possible setup.EDIT: 4/23 - 11:51PM EDT - Patch 1.0.5.1 released
  4. We're readying a patch for tonight that we hope will resolve the vast majority of controller issues. If all goes well with that, and it indeed works as well as we believe it will from all our testing, we may be able to open the store as early as Saturday. No promises, but that's our best guess at this stage.
  5. Sorry all for the delays. We were set to release the patch tonight (Wednesday), got so far as to put it out on the server, only to discover a critical bug when run on FSX SP2. So we've pulled the patch and will roll a new one with that fixed tomorrow.Just to be clear, if you're still having issues accessing the forums (and you shouldn't as far as I know) please e-mail us at the address listed on the site.
  6. Dougal, my sim-outhouse login decided to stop working, so I'm replying to you here. We're still working on getting the new server fully functional, and currently e-mail isn't. Will post here when it is.EDIT: Mail now flowing. (In the interim, accounts have been activated manually)
