  2. Thanks Alexander,Can I purchase the extended download after my download link has expired? I might consider that, however my full installation is still intact, it is just the aircraft.cfg that is lost. ( I am currently working on restoring my WHS backups).I can provide all my purchase order numbers/history if required to satisfy any concerns I am not trying to enable an illegal copy or such behavior.Rod Kay
  3. Hi all,I have inadvertently completely deleted my MD-11F aircraft.cfg file. My original purchase/download link has long since expired, my zipped DVD copy is corrupt, plus my Windows Home Server back-up is not accessible arghhh - always in threes! Can someone tell me if the MD-11 passenger aircraft.cfg file is the same; could I use this with my MD-11F? I understand that I would need to rebuild my [fltsim.X] sections and also run the load manager. If they are not alike is it possible for someone to post a copy of theirs for me? I am quite familiar with the cfg file so understand changes required for my particular configuration.Regards,Rod Kay
  4. Same here, I don't fly from the outside, almost exclusively within VC (with TrackIR). I would love an upgrade of the B744 cockpit to include some of the handy functions included in the MD11/J4100. Having said that I'll still buy this :)
  5. No Chris it was effecting all my liveries, however I have experienced what you mentioned many times and I do exactly the same as you. Anyhow, unless I am mistaken, most (if not all) of the primary panel textures are held in the panel folder and are common regardless of the number of aliases added to the model. And yes I checked that the panel mapping was correct within the aircraft config file. So overall I still did not actually get to the root of the problem, however my re-installs rectified it.Rod
  6. Complete sequential re-install of ALL my PMDG aircraft (which is the entire product range) + respective upgrades.Regards,Rod
  7. Hi Folks,I am suddenly experiencing lack of textures in my (FS9) MD-11 VC (see attached images). I have been using this aircraft almost exclusively in VC mode (using TrackIR) since its release and have never had a single problem with it. My PC specs are well capabable of running VC smoothly (as i said I have used it flawlessly for a while). All of my 2D Panels/Textures/Systems look & work fine, all external textures are fine. All my other PMDG/LVLD virtual cockpits are working fine even at their high resolution/detail settings. The VC display is still smooth and the button 'hotspots' seem to work - it just appears to be missing the textures.Aside from microsoft automatic system updates, the only other changes I have recently made is a minor upgrade of VLC, plus added Zune software. I have not recently changed or added any thing to my FS installation.Since discovery of this problem I have tried the following ... Completely Un-installed/reinstalled the PMDG MD-11 (and patch). Updated my nVidia GeForce GTX295 drivers. Tried lower resolution screen settings. Tried lower graphics detail settings. Tried both windowed/full screen display. Closed TrackIR Closed of all non-essential services * Obviously I have re-started FS9 and/or PC after each of these changes. Can anyone please offer suggestions? I am quite familiar with aircraft/panel configuration if there is something I need to look for. [specs]FS9Vista-64Intel i7 Core extreme12 GB RAMnVidia GeForce GTX295Regards,Rod
  8. Thanks Egbert,Your configuration is almost identical to the list I have generated. My guess is this is overkill for FS2004 as it can't take advantage of some of the advanced graphics features, but as a CPU centric application the Core i7 processor, chipset & DDR3 has to be a major advantage.
  9. Thanks for the info Brzi,I'm happy with FS9 as well, plus I have so much time & money invested in it. Have you experienced any compatiability issues with any of your applications/add-ons running under 64-bit?
  10. Hi Simmers,I am about to build a new machine and want to create a platform that will run my complex FS9 setup that uses high end payware aircraft, complex payware sceneries/weather/texture add-ons, heavy amount of AI traffic, and many other runtime companion add-ons (like FSCrew, Squawkbox, FSFK, etc). I primarily use PMDG/Level-D in virtual cockpit mode with TrackIR so graphics capability is important.I could simply go out and but the fastest motherboard, chipset, graphics cards on the market today however many of these surpase the capabilities of the aging 32-bit FS9 application, so can someone please advise me on the key graphics card, motherboard & memory specs I need to consider for optimum FS9 performance. Cost is not a factor.Sorry, I realise this is yet another one of those "what's the best ..." posts but all the research I have done on this question is a bit dated and I wanted some advice based upon current day hardware options. Any help would be most appreciated.Regards,CaptainVirtualP.S.This machine will run Vista Premium 32-bit (eventaully Win7) and I need to run dual monitors - however I only sim with one.I am familiar with optimising the OS/services/application side of the equation.
