  1. North route from UWOP Orsk (Russia) to KSEA.Both ends are on opposite meridians: E 58*37' and W122*17'; or in the same meridian plane. The flight organizer can build a VOR-to-VOR route: 6285.5 nm, it can build also the direct GPS route: 4888.7 nm,which leads the autopilot to N89*30' where the AP has to be switched from NAV to HDG in order to go around the Noth pole, either E (right) or W (left).Inserting a way point at N88* 59.99' and either E88* or W152* allows the flight under AP NAV GPS from end to end.I think the strange behavior near the pole (compass and plane) is due to the FS9 geography: the pole does not exist,it cannot be flown over on a straight line, and one can see on the GPS (its screens are better corrected than the "map" window) the plane doing almost a U turn, as needed to pass from "to North" to "to South". During this turn the planeflies near the poles (true/geo and magnetic), the "North" is moving, which makes the plane turning the other way,and she follows roughly (fasten seat belt) the straight line. These two routes are respectively 4888.7 and 4888.9 nm long: same as the critical one.Another fly close to the meridian plane is between USDD Salekhard (Russia) and CYZF Yellowknife (Canada). It is shorter: 3057.2 nm for the direct GPS route which creates a problem at 59*30', 3057.8 (or 3030.6) nmwhen a waypoint is added at N88* 59.99' E156* (or W24*), allowing to use AP NAV GPS end to end.No VOR-to-VOR route is found by the flight organizer.
  2. HelloI used the flight builder to find the GPS direct route from Thule (Greenland) to Khatanga (Russia);then I (the Auto pilot, in fact) followed it; it reaches 88
