  1. OK, after careful consideration I have decided to go with LSH Maddog 2010 Pro and now I am its new owner. I think this plane has some issues but Majestic Dash-8 has them also and moreover it is too pricey taking into account level of complication the real Dash-8 plane has in comparison to much more advanced and several times more expensive real jet airliners.
  2. Hi. I consider buying this turboprop now but after reading many opinions all over the Internet I have mixed feelings. It seems this plane is on par with PMDG products but in the same time it has some annoying bugs as a brand-new design. Therefore I'd like to clarify several things before purchase: - How does installation process look like? What about patch installation? Is complete reinstall always necessary? Do I also need to install DirectX every time? How does activation process look like? - What about several top issues: torque effect causing bouncing starts and landings, inability to catch ILS in stable way, advancing throttle power during landings etc. - What is AIRAC support for this plane? Is its FMS fairly complete or some functions are absent/simplified versus real thing? Are there any problems with vertical speed management, flight parameters predictions etc.? - Does MJ Dash-8 Q400 have comprehensive manual, let's say comparable with PMDG 737NGX, or new user has to search the Internet to find more detailed informations he needs to flight this plane? Thanks in advance for all your replies.
  3. When may PMDG 777 make his first appearance? Anyway as for now it's very hard choice: LSH Maddog 2010 Pro or Majestic Dash-8. :shok:
  4. Oh, it's turboprop like JS41! Yet Pilot edition is very limited. Where to buy Pro version???
  5. Yes, I have just updated my signature after two years, LOL! My CS 727, as being very buggy plane, got uninstalled a long time ago. In fact I am a big fan of airliners so I actually buy best ones on the market. Anyway I don't know much about Majestic Q400. It must be a new product.
  6. In fact LSH announced an idea of FSX native Maddog but so far they did not find graphic designer needed to do the job. Therefore I am not sure this project will ever materialize.
  7. Hi! I noticed that LSH Maddog 2010 Pro got upgraded (SP3) and is now sold at a bit cheaper price. That's why I wonder if purchasing this plane right now is a good idea. On the one hand this is still very advanced design but on the other it is quide old (still ported to FSX). So is it wise to purchase Maddog 2010 Pro for FSX or maybe some more modern airliners are now available at similar price? BTW I already own LDS 763 and PMDG 737NGX, 747X, MD-11X, JS41 planes.
  8. It's m again! Tell me something about ORBX US sceneries. I am interested in Central Rocky Mountains scenery but I could not find how much area it covers (sq. miles). It's strange because I have found such info pretty quickly about PNJ, PNW and NRM sceneries.
  9. Thanks for your help. I bought both UTX+GEX Europe and I am happy with them. Now land graphics is inferior only to FBX sceneries.
  10. Do I need to buy additional landclass like ST or Cloud9 products if I have also UTX?
  11. OK but in FSGenesis shop I have found many different meshes so I don't know what to choose. As I understand in FSX stock US mesh resolution is 38 m, for Europe, Canada and Mexico - 76 m and rest of the World - 306 m. As for UTX and GEX I think this is best bundle for US and Europe for my needs. Anyway I'd like your confirmation UTX has improved landclass also so I do not need Mills textures pack.
  12. I'd like to know what combination of commercial mesh, landclass and land textures is optimal for person flying airliners mostly in Europe and North America.
  13. Now everything is clear! I also tried REX 2.0 weather engine alone and it is worse than ASE: loading textures lasts much longer than SS mechanism found in ASE even if clouds and sky textures are modified alone, working with FSX is not so smooth (WASys - what is it???). So the right way is to choose best texture themes in REX to make appropriate SS in ASE. Later REX can go to bed and ASE takes care of everything! Maybe this is the most expensive option but worth every penny. Tomorrow I will fine tune my several themes in REX and bring this story to happy end.
  14. I have already done that! I've made several themes in REX and saved them as SS in ASE. Now I think it works fine. BTW, FSX can run when I switch SS in ASE?
  15. So tell me only how to use "Enable selected snapshot for Auto Select" option?
  16. So I can do several different graphical themes in REX, load them into FSX and the take their snapshots in ASE each time. After doing that I won't have to load REX anymore but ASE snapshots will choose appropriate REX theme by changing its texture sets in FSX? Will you give me any short algorithm how to do it?
  17. Hi, it's me again. Tell me if Graphics Snapshots are needed in my situation. I had created one textures theme in REX 2.0 and loaded it into FSX. Next I ran ASE, took its Snapshot and saved it in the Universal category. So it is necessary at all and whether or not I must load this snapshot via Install Graphic button before every flight? How would it work if I made different snapshots for each weather category (universal, clear, stormy,...)?
  18. Hi, again! I installed both programs and they run very well. However I have one question about best resolutions in REX 2.0 options menu. There are three options: 3D clouds, cirrus clouds and water resolutions. As I understand your previous advice applied to 3D clouds resolution only so how I should set remaining two options? I can explain cirrus resolutions available are 1024x1024, 512x512 and water resolutions are 1024x1024, 512x512, 256x256. I'd like to get similar FPS level like with 1024x1024 resolution set for 3D clouds.
  19. I have just bought ASE and REX. Hope both will be working together flawlessly.
  20. Both sold! Nice piece of software. Downloading now!
  21. Great. So now I buy ASE and configure it. Tomorrow I will go along REX 2.0 because I need plenty of time to download that giant!
  22. OK so if I set 1024 texture resolution in REX 2.0 it will still look fine and run smoothly on my rig?
  23. AFAIK REX 2.0 has 512, 1024, 2048 and 4096 resolution textures. Which of them are HD ones?
  24. Do you think REX may be FPS friendly on rig with 4 GB RAM and 512 MB VRAM assuming I decrease REX settings?
