  1. Thanks Sebastian, got it working!
  2. How do you turn on "admin rights"? Excuse my Macness.....
  3. First off I have to say I'm extremely impressed with the NGX. That said I am having problems with the livery manager. Whenever I try to install a livery, it gets as far as "extracting file", then it crashes. Anyone else seeing this? Not a huge problem, I can live without WestJet colours for now. I have submitted a support ticket, but I haven't heard anything as of yet, and I'm not surprised, PMDG has a lot on there plate at the moment. Does anyone know a workaround for the livery manager? Like a way I could extract the files and manually place the files where they need to go? Or even better a way I could stop the livery manager from crashing.
  4. Yah I googled that right after I replyed lol.
  5. So I'm assuming you can't get 64 bit windows xp? If the graphic card needs more memory will it start to use the system ram?
  6. How well do you think my 13 inch macbook pro will fair with the MD11, J41 or the upcoming 737 and dash 8? I'll probably dualboot it with windows xp, its got 2 gb of ram now but I can put more in. its got a 2.26 ghz dualcore and the nvidia 9400 which isn't the greatest. I'm alright with having little to no autogen, ai traffic etc.
  7. Yah I'm defenately building my own, I believe I've reached that level of expertise. I bought the laptop because it wasan absolute necessity, not because I wanted one, I've been a desktop guy my whole life, it was tough to get used to it.picking hardware to build a computer exclusely for fsx seems a bit difficult, because from what I have read on here and onother boards, the best of the best hardware does not mean you get the best performance in fsx.
  8. Yah, its really come down. The last time I looked was end of last year. I got a macbook pro 13, because it fit my needs really nicely, and I was exclusively looking for a thin and light laptop, and never planned on playing fsx on it. I might still invest in a nice desktop though, I at the current level they are at, can you get good performance for under a grand?
  9. Thats good news because flying default aircraft is not an option. Yourplanes are about the closest I can get to flying the real thing.
  10. I'm going to school for the next few years, and after I graduate, I'm planning on building a really nice computer to play fsx on. Do you (PMDG) think you will still be selling and supporting products (all FSX) like the 747, MD11, J41, upcoming 737ngx and Dash 8.I'm asking because I really don't want the possiblity of them not being available when Ihave the cash to build a killer system, and I'm thinking of buying them now, but I would rather buy them when I have a computer capable of using them. Please don't flame me lol, I know I sound ridiculous :(
  11. You got me interested! I've got a macbook pro 13 w/ the 2.26 ghz processor. So your saying you get resonable frame ratesrunning the J41 and the newer pmdg planes. Do you have to shut off autogen and scenery or can you get some resonable looking stuff? I might install windows and give it a try. I'm assuming you have a 13 inch is that big enough to see the instruments clearly on?
