  1. I might try a reinstall of the aircraft. I did install as Admin, anti virus off, recent download with service pack.I'm able to get the overhead panel to show up when I go - View Mode>Cockpit>Overhead Panel -- But the view looks like I'm on the floor, out of position somewhat, with the panel too far away to read the names associated with the switches. The glitch when I press shift 2, is just the mouse pointer quickly flashing between a pointer arrow and an hourglass. It does that sometimes with other aircraft if I select certain views through the menus. Sometimes when that happens it coincides with a prompt about the ATI 5870 (running a 3 monitor setup). Forget what it says. I'm running an older driver and hesitate to update when things are working well for the most part. Read on the ATI forums 6 months ago, guys having to go back to older drivers to work well. What is the ideal position for the TrackIR? I have it sitting on top of the monitor about level with my forehead. Wondering if it was mounted higher, it might give a better motion when I look up. Right now, when I have the view moved closer to the instrument panel and look up, the TrackIR comes to a stop with only half the panel showing. I have to zoom out the view, then look up and the panel shows fine.
  2. Thanks for the info, but it's not working. When in the Virtual Cockpit and I go through the menu - View>New View>Cockpit>Overhead View - It doesn't bring up the overhead panel, it brings up something, but it's not anything I recognize. Maybe it's a small portion of the panel, I don't know. When I press shift 2 it causes some type of error, the mouse pointer goes from an arrow to the hourglass flashing fast. The sim functions fine, and the mouse pointer still works. Shift 1 through 9 brings up something on every key, except shift 2.I have Level D 767, and when going through the menu commands, it brings up the overhead panel fine. Shift 2 doesn't bring anything up though.
  3. I'm using the EJets V2 EMB175Shift 1-9 commands bring up several different views, but not the overhead. I'll look through the manual some more.
  4. Is their a keyboard entry to show the overhead panel in FSX with the virtual cockpit. I have Track IR and when I have the view zoomed in close enough, to see the instruments the way I like, it's hit or miss to look up and see the overhead panel. I'm bobbing my head around to have the panel come into view.
  5. Problem solved. Replacing the halo.bmp file with another in the FSX texture folder fixed it.
  6. Here's a couple more shots of what I'm seeing in a larger representation.I tried adjusting the cfg file for runway lights and that made a small differenceDropped brightness of street lights in UTX from 50% to 25% and still no differenceThe comment about the Halo.bmp file rings a bell from what fixed it before. Further suggestion on what to do here might be of help.Uploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.us
  7. I did follow the tuning guide in setting up UTX initially. As far as it looking cool... I don't think it looks realistic. The VASI on approach, is distracting and blends together. What setting in UTX changes this. It's not just street lighting because the VASI lights are this way too.
  8. This happened to me before and I posted the problem. Someone offered a solution that worked, think it had to do with the cfg file. I can't recall what it was and I can't locate the original message I posted.
  9. Any idea what's going on here and what change should be made. Running Windows 7-64 FSX- UTX, GEX, REXUploaded with ImageShack.us
  10. I'm going to DeFrag my hard drives and was cleaning up some things. Was wondering if it's ok to delete the items in my download folder. I've installed everything in FSX and it's running fine. Below is a screenshot of the folder. Do these need to remain or can they be deleted?Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  11. I've got a VRinsight MCP Combo Panel and I'm trying to use it with an aircraft that requires the buttons/knobs to be programmed manually. When I try to use the Key Mapper program with it, I'm having problems assigning the function to the buttons/knobs on the panel (auto pilot). For example, when I try to program a button as a Mouse Key to select and assign a function, I select Mouse Key/Enable/Left Button then Set - the mouse pointer turns into a cross, but when I move the mouse to area of the panel (auto pilot) over the button, it changes from a cross back to the regular mouse pointer and nothing happens when I click to program the button. Any ideas?
