  1. Yep, can do that, and its still with in price range, so when it comes to upgrading later in the year, i'll build a system around the 3770K with the 2nd units ram. Cheers guys
  2. For 1300 i can get the following: Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-3820 (3.6GHz) 10MB Cache 16GB KINGSTON HYPERX BEAST DUAL-DDR3 2400MHz X.M.P (2 x 8GB KIT) ASUS® SABERTOOTH X79: SOCKET 2011, R.O.G 2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 660 Ti - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready Could just be inside my price range come years end
  3. 5 years on from buying my current system, its time for an upgrade this year. I have a budget of around £1000, and i can build the following system for round about £900: Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-3770K (3.5GHz) 8MB Cache ASUS® P8Z77-M: MICRO-ATX, USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs, ATI®CrossFireX 16GB SAMSUNG DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz (2 X 8GB) 2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 650 - DVI, mHDMI, VGA - 3D Vision Ready After tweaks to the CFG etc, would i be able to run FSX at a more stable setting (currently average 15-20FPS on a good day at UK2000 Manchester with the PMDG MD11)? Cheers
  4. VC shot on the Site lads http://www.blackboxsimulation.com/index.php/in-development/ image 6 or 7
  5. ah right cheers for that. Much appreciated, In terms of a new machine, do you think this would be an improvement? http://www.falconcomputers.co.uk/falcon/gaming-pc-intel-i3-cpu-8gb-ddr3-1tb-hdd-2gb-gt-630-gfx-no-o-s.html
  6. Thanks for that Haven't set a budget yet, but ideally nothing to expensive cheers
  7. Sorry, i'm quite new to all the techy stuff, anyway. These are my current system specs Intel core, quad Q6600, 2.40GHz 4GB Ram Nvidia GeForce 9600GT Windows Vista Currently, my average frame rates are 10-15 (PMDG MD11 at default AMS, drops with addon scenery). Ultimately i want to have my system running smoother, as at the minute i cant use the likes of LHR due to very low frames. The CFG is tweaked and FPSLimiter is used. So i'm either looking for a new system, or upgrading my current (preferred) to handle FSX better.
  8. Cheers lads. Any thoughts on this set up? Intel i3 2120 3.3 Ghz Dual Core CPU 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz Fast Memory 1TB Hitachi 7200 RPM HDD 2Gb GDDR3 Nvidia GT 630 3D Graphics Card ASUS P8H61-MX USB3 24X DVDRW Dual Layer 700 Watt Alpine PSU (upgradable)
  9. Will these specs run FSX relatively smoothly: Intel Core i3-3110M 2.4 GHz (6 MB Cache) 6 GB DDR3 750 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive 17.3-Inch Screen, Intel HD Graphics 4000 Windows 8, 3.45-hour battery life Cheers Dylan
  10. Would be sufficient to run FSX at good settings? AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core 270 3.40GHz - Dual-core Technology - 3.40Ghz clock speed (AM3 Socket) - 2.0MB L2 Cache - Cool + Quiet Technology for Energy Efficiency - Enhanced virus Protection - 64-bit Technology
  11. Thanks Tom. Will give that a whirl.
  12. Great. Thank you very much for that
  13. Excellent. Cheers for the help gents.
