5 years on from buying my current system, its time for an upgrade this year. I have a budget of around £1000, and i can build the following system for round about £900: Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-3770K (3.5GHz) 8MB Cache ASUS® P8Z77-M: MICRO-ATX, USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs, ATI®CrossFireX 16GB SAMSUNG DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz (2 X 8GB) 2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 650 - DVI, mHDMI, VGA - 3D Vision Ready After tweaks to the CFG etc, would i be able to run FSX at a more stable setting (currently average 15-20FPS on a good day at UK2000 Manchester with the PMDG MD11)? Sorry, i'm quite new to all the techy stuff, anyway. These are my current system specs Intel core, quad Q6600, 2.40GHz 4GB Ram Nvidia GeForce 9600GT Windows Vista Currently, my average frame rates are 10-15 (PMDG MD11 at default AMS, drops with addon scenery). Ultimately i want to have my system running smoother, as at the minute i cant use the likes of LHR due to very low frames. The CFG is tweaked and FPSLimiter is used. So i'm either looking for a new system, or upgrading my current (preferred) to handle FSX better.

Hi all I need to improve my system over the coming weeks, mainly to improve FSX. My specs are: * Intel Q6600 Processor * (2.4GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 8MB Cache) * Genuine Windows Vista ® Home Premium * 4GB Memory * 1TB Hard Drive * 512MB nVidia GeForce 9600GT Can anyone recommend the best area to improve. My FPS levels are good in areas, and very bad in some, averaging around 7/9 FPS at LHR with settings tweaked and turned down, and I seem to regular get the 'out of memory error'. Cheers

When setting up the MD11 for a flight, regardless of the aircrafts weight, the FMS gives a opt altitude of FL405, and Max of FL430. Any ideas on the issue? Best Regards

How do you get the aircraft to hover? Do you need to alter any FS settings or just configure it from the cockpit?
