New PC for FSX
JohnOmaha replied to JohnOmaha's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcTom, It is about $2400. Regarding the HDD and the SSD, this is where I am confused. Should I use the HDD for data storage and SSD then for FSX and OS? Thanks John

New PC for FSX
JohnOmaha replied to JohnOmaha's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcThanks Tom for your input, The three options I have for the CPU are the 4820K, 4930K, or the 4960x. I chose the bottom of the three. My first hard drive will be an HDD and the second is a SDD for FSx. Thanks again John

FS2Crew wont install
Today I purchased FS2Crew for PMDG 737 NGX and spent two hours trying to get it to install. The installer gets to 1% and stalls out. The file it appears trying to intall is fs2crewdata.ini. I tried it twice but no luck. The installing locates my FSX folder just fine. I am running Windows 7 64bit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks John M.

Southwest 737-700 pilot injured in Omaha hail storm
This just happened were I live in Omaha, NE..... "The thunderstorm swept across the airport during the 5 o'clock hour as a number of aircraft were preparing to take off. A passenger on a Southwest flight from Omaha to Chicago told KETV NewsWatch 7 that as the storm came up, it shook the plane as it sat at the gate. Passengers were told to evacuate the plane and return to the terminal. Authorities said an injured pilot was removed from the cockpit of a Southwest plane. Officials would not confirm if the injuries were storm-related, and it was not immediately clear if it was the same plane from which the passengers were evacuated."Read more: http://www.ketv.com/news/28909690/detail.html#ixzz1VQnsK6zL

fs9 suddenly closes
Sorry. I don't get any error messages and it happened 15 min into flight. It just disappears like it was never running. I have a Dell xps 17 i2 nvidia 550. Frame rates is incredible at 100 on both fs9 and fsx. Just kind of odd it happened. John
