  1. Hi Herman,I took a look at the 767-400 paint kit and it looks like the layered files are in .psd or Photoshop format - which as John says, might not be useable in Photoshop. If I were you I would use the Gimp which is Creative Commons (open source freeware), almost as powerful and can handle .psd files. (I'm not sure whether it can read Paint Shop Pro files too. If it can you could convert the .psd files to the format you're more comfortable working with.)Please can you also say which package you downloaded with the name of the .zip file if necessary. I'm sure someone here will be very pleased to take a look at it for you.Best regards (and good luck!)- Argy
  2. OK, that's fine. In all honesty that's the answer I expected to hear. It's a shame, but... copyright is copyright I guess. Thank you all for personally answering my post.Cheerio- Argy
  3. This is an open letter to the AVSim.com community. I'd like to poll some advice from you all.Recently I searched high and low for the Airhead Virtual Airworks A.C.A. Super Decathlon by Dave Harbold which has been unavailable since his website disappeared off the web. I was very kindly forwarded it by Avechelice of FlightSim.com and managed to collect all the repaints and paint kit that were available off his website by using an Internet Archive website. This aircraft is an absolute jewel. Dave, if you're out there, a million times a million thanks! The documentation is thorough, the modelling is crisp, the artwork detailed, the sounds a treat and the FDE is sublime, realistic and beautiful. This aircraft is a joy to fly by hand and, like the real aircraft, is extremely versatile. We're talking from slipping - real side-slipping! - in and out of bush strips to fast touring to basic aerobatics. I get a real kick out of flying this aircraft, and I can't help cracking the widest grin every time I 'get in.' This aircraft is now my default aircraft in FS2004.Here's the deal. I want to make this freeware gem available for everyone to enjoy once again. I want to upload the aircraft, official repaints and paint kit to FlightSim.com and AVSim.com. However, this is Dave's copyright notice:
  4. Hi everybody, and thanks for your quick help and replies!I understand that piece of code now, and my understanding of condition statements in XML has been improved dramatically. Thank you so much Bert, Jav, and n4gix.Once again, thanks very much one and all!Best regards- ArgyP.S. I'll probably be back in a couple of weeks when my exams are finished to say that I can't get it to work :( or hopefully, present a working piece of code to you all.
  5. Hi everybody!I'm developing an extension to an existing gauge for personal use with the UKMIL Harriers. What I'm trying to achieve is a "betty" style voice who will yell at me if I pull too much G (a terrible habit of mine.) I'm going to adapt the existing code to achieve this and use the DSD XML Sound Gauge to play the sounds.Anyhow, here is the condition statement I'm having trouble understanding: (A:G FORCE, gforce) abs 3.0 > (A:Airspeed Indicated, knots) 100 > && if{ (A:LIGHT TAXI,bool) ! if{ (>K:TOGGLE_TAXI_LIGHTS) } } els{ (A:LIGHT TAXI,bool) if{ (>K:TOGGLE_TAXI_LIGHTS) } }Is the part highlighted in bold a "nested" if statement or is it just a variation of how a single if statement is written in gauge syntax? Furthermore, I'd like to know what the purpose of the else statement is if some kind soul could explain? Thanks in advance,- Argy
