  1. Happened to stumble across Steve's DX10 fixes and SweetFX (+ configurator; absolute must) and gave it a try...I am now running FSX exclusively in DX10
  2. Yes, but it has autogen as well (at least some parts). Here's their description:
  3. Yeah, looks like the link doesn't work anymore  . Here, try this link: http://aussiex.org/f.../1-ozx-scenery/ Scroll down a little, click on "Death Valley + HolgerMESH" --> Dowload --> Agree & Dowload --> Dowload (Main Sever) Death_Valley.zip. Works fine over here....and no, you definately do not need to register. I'm not a member and can download it with no problem whatsoever (just got it myself some time ago). Hope this helps, Natanaël
  4. Yes, you can get it from OZx right here: http://aussiex.org/f...lley-holgermesh No, you don't need to register in order to download the file. Natanaël
  5. So in other words, I should set all the anti-aliasing options to "Use application settings"?...I'll give it a try. As for texture max load, I use Texture Max Load Editor by Frosty Software (running service at 4096(SHD)).
  6. Just a little update... For some odd reason (and without me doing anything) the squares just disappeared ...at least most of them. Window "reflections" are crisp and clear...we'll just wait till the GTX660 comes out and go from there. Thanks for all the input guys! I appreciate it. Natanaël
  7. Might give it a shot sometime this week. Thanks! Natanaël
  8. That's what I thought as well. Could you give me a little more info on this? Never did that before...how would my computer run without the graphics driver? Also, when I google "driver sweeper" I get all kinds of beware and don't use for ATI drivers & Windows 7?!
  9. Thanks for your reply Jim. I appreciate it.Natanaël
  10. My apologies, SpiritFlyer, but you must have posted while I was typing...didn't see your edit 'till I finished.
  11. Thanks for your quick replies guys. No, I don't have any of these particular addons...I had the same problems running stock FSX. Yes, I was aware about the rebranding when buying this computer. We got the lowest GPU possible since we were planning on replacing it anyways...although I must say that this card delivers more than expected. The i5-2320, as far as I know, is not overclockable though I really doubt it's the CPU causing the problems.Do you guys think replacing the GPU is the only solution?Regards,Natanaël
  12. Hey everyone,I recently installed FSX (using NickN's guide) on our new desktop and it runs great...however, I still get some strange bugs/glitches... The sky is like a huge tiled dome. The runways are made of squares?! Same for the window/glass reflections...not on the aircraft though :( Terrain textures have a very unique "square" pattern. They all appear at random...I have tried it using various settings to no avail.System Specs:Windows 7 64-bitIntel Core i5-2320 @ 3.00GHz6GB DDR3-1333MHzAMD Radeon HD7350 512MBAll drivers, etc. are up to date. If more info is needed just let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated.Regards,Natanaël
  13. Hey everybody! We finally got a new computer:HP PavilionIntel Core i5-2320 @ 3.00GHz6GB DDR3-1333MHzAMD Radeon HD7350 512MBI installed FSX using NickN's guide. I have DX10 preview checked and almost all sliders to max/ultra. Everything seems to work ok except.... The sky looks like a huge tiled dome?! I get a lot of stutters ( locked @ 40fps; average @ 25-30fps; stutters go down to 5fps) I also added "[JOBSCHEDULER] AffinityMask=14" to my fsx.cfg as suggested in this topic. My guess is it's the GPU. Is my graphics card causing the problems? Would upgrading help? Think it's something else? Please let me know what you guys think.Regards,NatanaëlP.s. If this is the wrong place to post let me now/feel free to move...
  14. Oh...that makes sense. I always have it turned on because it's such a useful add-on. I'll remember this next time. Thanks, Natanaël
  15. To Momtchil: It's the best GA plane in my hangar. Really useful for a 152 student like me . The only downside in my opinion is that the altimeter uses millibars instead of inches of mercury. To Jim: Although I can't verify it myself, here's a video of someone using it in FSX: . Also, it looks like Just Flight has a freeware Cessna 152 (http://www.justfligh...crosoftc152.asp). Don't know how good it is though 'cause I can't run FSX. Regards, Natanaël
  16. I finally got it thanks to your screenshot! It looked so different than what I had on my screen. That gave me the idea to try it using Internet Explorer...and guess what: It worked! If anybody else has the same issue, use IE 'cause Firefox has a problem with the download links. Thanks again Momtchil! This means a lot to me. Natanaël
  17. I'm a little confused. If I follow your link (which is the same I have used in my first post), the only downloads available are: Download :CESSNA 150 - François-Denis GUIDEE & Yves FRANCKART - Quiberon Airclub repaint / texture F-BXNSCESSNA 150 - François-Denis GUIDEE & Yves FRANCKART - Club Universitario de Aviación repaint / texture CC-KUG These are repaints/textures only. All other downloads on their site are unavailable on my end...any ideas? Thanks, Natanaël
  18. Hey everybody, I was looking for a good (freeware) Cessna 152 when I came across this Cessna 150 (need to scroll down a bit). However, the download link seems to be dead due to the Avsim Site hack. I've searched the Avsim Library, but to no avail. Googled it, but all I got is pics, videos, and forum posts of how good it is. Is there any other way I could get this plane? Are there any other good 152s/150s for FS9? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Natanaël
  19. To Art_P: Well, our computer came with 512MB RAM and we upgraded to 1GB a couple months ago....but you're right, I might be able to upgrade the second module. Thanks for the tip!To steve_1979: The demo did work very well, and of course, more RAM would help....FS9 is still installed...but then again, I can't use VoxATC without FSX....Regards,Natanael
  20. I know it's not a lot, but as far as I know, 1GB RAM is the max for this computer :(. Hhmmm...so is that why the demo worked, and FSX Gold doesn't?To Tom: I know....it's time for a new PC....still would like to get FSX running on this computer though....Thanks for the replies everybody! I appreciate it very much!!Natanael
  21. Thanks for the quick replies guys...To Art_P: Of course the settings weren't on max, but the demo worked quite well. By the way, I even tried it with 516MB RAM:lol:.To LCSims: I know, I know...it's an old computer (I got it about 5 years ago). And I was well aware about the "lie". It just seems strange to me that the demo worked and FSX Gold doesn't!? The reason I bought it in the first place is because I want to use VoxAtc.Anyways, thanks for the replies!!!Natanael
  22. Hello everybody,I had FS9 for a couple years and finally got FSX Gold. However, I have a few problems...When I load FSX my plane looks kinda weird (see attachment)...I tried it with different planes and missions...the F/A-18 VC worked once...otherwise it's just a huge texture-and-polygon-mess...and now my computer either freezes or I get a "blue screen" when running FSX. It's strange because the demo worked just fine. Here are my specs:HP Pavilion (Windows XP)Pentium 4 3GHz Processor1GB RAMATI 9000 IGPAny suggestion greatly appreciated.<327K Image removed>Thanks,Natanaelreciated
