That happened to me as well. I hope REX follows up with an updated version.

So sorry to hear this, Rockliffe. I use MSFS Addon Linker to keep my sceneries, aircraft, utilities separate. SU9 appeared to cause mine to CTD just two days ago, but the Addon Linker at least allowed me to keep all my third party airports and planes separate as I went through a reinstall. I have the steam version, and you might consider downloading steam and investing in that version of MSFS 2020. It appears that people have fewer problems with that version.
I wish you all the best.

I went looking for my C-172 G-1000; it has turned up missing in the sim, and so I tried to open Content Manager to see if it's loaded. My Content Manager just sits there, greyed out with the white circle spinning.
I went looking for my C-172 G-1000 in my files (MSFS Recommended Content/Official/Steam), and it's there, but I can't find it my hangar. The Classic is there, but the G-1000 is not. And now Content Manager won't open. Strange.
Any ideas?

My C-172 G1000 is nowhere to be found. Went into my files (MSFS Recommended Content/Official/Steam) and it's there along with the classic C-172, but it's not in the sim. And I can't get Content Manager to open. It just stays greyed out while the white circle spins around.
I wonder if it was caused by the latest update?
Any ideas?

Yes, I do.
9 hours ago, kiek said:The default value for automatic scans is true, unless PSXT cannot find that MSFS is installed, then it will switch them off.
In your case (a non standard Steam installation) you should not use that automatic scan mechanism, but define the lfolder0 parameter.
Thanks. Will do.

Thanks. One thing that happens with PSXT app is that I always tick that particular block. It always starts off unchecked. Sometimes I forget to tick it, and then I do it after it's been running for a while...
I'll consolidate the other lines. Thanks again.

10 hours ago, MrBitstFlyer said:KVNY is a good one because of all the GA and business jets. AIG has plenty of business jet models. I have observed there for a while and listened on LiveATC.net.
I'm doing something wrong, then.
10 hours ago, kiek said:Just for information. In PSXT business jets are defined small aircraft and are always shown (if there are any).
GA aircraft are defined to be light aircraft and only shown if the light checkbox is ticked (and if there are any of course)

2 hours ago, MrBitstFlyer said:AIG doesn't currently contain GA aircraft models. However, all GA aircraft will be seen, but will show up in MSFS as Cessna 208s or PC-12s - the smallest models in AIG. I fly mostly GA out of small airports and the patterns are often full of GA.
Thanks for the reply. I'm going to have to find another airport other than Van Nuys KVNY. I chose this one to test this because I have LiveATC and I'm on ground frequency listening to all this activity, but I never see any corresponding GA aircraft. What's a good one in the UK?

50 minutes ago, MrBitstFlyer said:Once AIG is installed and set up, you only need to run AIG Manager occasionally to keep the models & flight plans up to date. You do not have to use the AIG Traffic Controller. Just run PSXT & RealTraffic with MSFS and you will see traffic move as their real world counterparts do and that traffic will be the models from AIG..
Thanks for your reply. The only thing I'm confused about is the GA aircraft. The IVAO folder that I understood that AIG uses does not contain any GA aircraft. And I was told by the gentleman who goes by the name of kiek over at the PSXT forum that I would have to insert the GA aircraft in order for them to show up and fly according to RealTraffic flightplans. What I hear you saying is that the GA aircraft that PSXT & RealTraffic use are the already-installed ASOBA GA aircraft. Is that the case?
Thanks again.

16 hours ago, MrBitstFlyer said:All GA are already displayed by PSXT/RealTraffic/AIG. GA will be displayed as the smallest model in AIG which is the PC12 and C208.
When I fly these days, I use PSXT and RealTraffic. I haven't included AIG because it has its own Traffic Controller, and Traffic Controller moves those aircraft around in a random fashion, and they are not following real world flightplans via RealTraiffic; at least that's my understanding. Am I missing something?

I just installed PSXT version 31.0.12 beta, and RealTraffic 9.0.176. It's a whole new world. You add in LiveATC, and this sim is a lot of fun.
Before that, I was enjoying AIG with the traffic controller. But the IVAO file does not include any GA ai aircraft. I would like to figure out how to inject GA aircraft for use in PSXT to go along with the commercial aircraft that PSXT uses.
I asked the question over at the PSXT forum, and it was suggested that I ask the question here. Has anyone had any success loading GA aircraft into MSFS so that PSXT can recognize them and inject them so they can be tracked like the commercial aircraft are tracked? Can they be placed into the IVAO file?
Thanks for your help. 🙂

However, you have to install GA aircraft in your Sim first before PSXT can inject these aircraft, but I don't think they are in AIG (yet)
Kiek,
Is there another way to install GA aircraft in MSFS 2020 other than through AIG?
Thanks for your help.

Thank you for getting back with me. I will wait patiently for AIG. 🙂

I just installed PSXT version 31.0.1 beta, and RealTraffic 9.0.176. I previously downloaded IVAO Altitude (ivao_x-csl) and used that with AIG Traffic Controller and I have that installed. But that IVAO file does not include any GA ai aircraft. I have now been using PSXT and RealTraffic almost exclusively, and have enjoyed it. I would like to figure out how to inject GA aircraft for use in PSXT to go along with the commercial aircraft that PSXT uses. Is there something in the instructions that I've missed?

It seems I've lost live weather in the Beta again. I had it for a couple of days. But not currently. Anyone else out there showing live weather in Beta?

Outstanding!

Anyone else experiencing trouble with live weather in the beta? It worked fine 24 hours ago. Now, no weather at any location. Even REX Weather Force failed to inject live weather. Not sure what caused it.

Is there an AI Online option for traffic? I put in AIG and I only have an AI Offline option. It's either 'AI Offline' or 'Off' on my setup.
-
For some reason, I can't bring up an AI Online option in my "Aviation Traffic Type" settings in "General Options." I only have "Off" and "AI Offline" options. I seem to recall having some sort of AI Online/live traffic option some time back. But now it's gone.
I've loaded up AIG's Traffic Manager and Traffic Controller, and it's been great, but was attempting to run the sim without setting up the AIG Traffic Controller, and simply seeing if I could go with the sim's online traffic, taking Kaiii3's advice from another thread and do the following:
Set Live AI/Online AI.
Enable in the Sim.
Do not start AIGTC.
But I don't have Online AI as one of the options.
Any advice?

My kingdom for a Cargomaster!
Seriously, will Carenado ever consider a C208b Cargomaster for MSFS 2020? It was a favorite of mine in P3D. There is a generic passenger version in MSFS 2020, but I don't believe FedEx uses those in real life.

Ahh, Ricardo. Turns out it was not a checklist issue, but an update issue. With all the updates complete, all the proper buttons light up, and everything works. But thanks anyway for your response. 🙂

ATC and Traffic in a perfect world
in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Posted
I can vouch for Kiek on this. I have Live ATC with Real Traffic and PSXT. You might want to experiment with it. It changes the experience when you hear real time ATC and you're immersed in it in your sim...
