  1. New RTX5080 pics appear... https://www.facebook.com/241806149201604/posts/3245346038847585/
  2. I couldn't even start beta 11 with an error of ntdll.dll - I found it was Avitab. not working so well with windows 10 2004 update.
  3. MSI Afterburner doing it for me. Went back to EVGA Precision and all good. Only downside I've not got RTSS OSD but maybe it's time to start flying than messing around with settings. Stay safe, Allan.
  4. Hi mate Been at this for days. Turn off detect crashes and it works. Thanks
  5. I bought VHHH on an upgrade after promising myself after buying P3D v5 pro that I wouldn't buy anything and only install planes and scenery that are compatible. Been at this flight sim stuff since FS98 but I cannot get VHHH to work. Think it must be something else I have installed like orbx maybe interfering. Who knows. Best to you all and stay safe.
  6. Got this too. I have tried all suggestions but no luck. I am hoping that next update from T2G helps.
  7. I couldn't save the download from one pc to another (networked) but could download from Chrome on the flightsim pc. You could try to disable virus software until downloaded which was my next step. It's a false positive which is well documented on their forum. Hope this helps, Allan.
  8. I use PayPal as much as possible for online purchases. The exchange rate is better most times. Something to look into.
  9. Can EF be installed on networked client pc? The manual says it installs into P3D. Anyone tried it?
  10. Hi all Each time I delete the shader folder and Prepar3D.cfg they are added again by p3d (all good) but what about the user saved profiles in my documents folder? I have a profile for day flying and one for night. Should these be deleted at same time and then saved again? I did search but wanted to be clear on this. Thanks, Allan
  11. Hi. Remember if you are using Aerosoft VNLK its VNL2 you would chose/fly to.
  12. Hi all. I asked this question years ago in a truck sim forum and am interested in what flight simmers think. With the recent 4.2, airbus etc updates I found a lot of people impatient for the latest patch/update to their favourite plane/scenery. So I thought its not the flight sim platform some are interested in its just the need to have the latest updates the most expensive plane and not actually flying! For me, it is both. Been flight siming for 25+ years and am comfortable with a stable version with no CTD etc but with a study plane in good scenery. Allan Thomson
  13. I use the Caribbean Breeze Solutions Boeing 747-400 Fuel Planner. It took me a long time to find it and now i have misplaced the web address. I will post if I find it.
  14. Hi RobbieI think you will find that most of us use FSBUILD http://www.fsbuild.com/ to create flight plans that can be saved in PMDG format. Once in the cockpit the plan can be entered into the FMC and then its just a case of runway and SID/STAR entry. This will also let you see the legs etc in the FMC for reference.Or, use RouteFinder http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ and then manually enter the waypoints into the FMC if you prefer.Hope this points you in the right direction. As an old school teacher once said to me; "if all else fails, read the instructions" :( (user manual).
  15. I have also seen that on youtube, but, as for reading from a monitor or ipad or amazon kindle, nothing beats paper IMHO
  16. Some people have also talked about using an ipad or android phone to view charts. I must be old because I print the charts so got them at hand when needed
  17. Thanks Steve. Thats how I've been doing things. Good to know I'm on the right track. Cheers.
  18. Does that mean that boeing use the term ASSUMED which is FLEX for Airbus. The reason I ask is that in TOPCAT I am able to tick "allow assumed/flex temp take off" or "allow derated take off" or "allow combination of both". I use allow assumed/flex temp take off only, as Steve above says that BA do not usually allow derated take offs unless empty. I know this is a question for the TOPCAT forum :( but since we are on the subject...
  19. Thanks Sam & Steve.Steve, great info. Very much appreciated.
  20. Hi allReading a thread recently on assumed/flex and de-rated take-offs and trying a search here and on web, I was wondering if anyone knows what British Airways uses. Is it a combination of both or one of them? Thanks in advance EDIT: The title should read British Airways flex/assumed or de-rated
