  1. i just purchased and installed evolution...regarding the service packs...do i need to start with number 1 or just install number 3? sorry if this has been answered...i couldnt find it. thank you.
  2. Just an update for anyone who may encounter this problem. Even after a reinstall of the software...the same palette kept comming up. You have to manualy delete the FSRepaint entries in the prefetch folder for windows.
  3. I was using FSRepaint, and mistakenly overwrote the default palette with one made from the image. When I tried to reload all the other colors they are gone. How can I get a multicolor palette back...it's looking for .rpf files but I'm left with only the one that was made with all the whites and greys. I'm stumped. Thank you for any help.Respectfully,Jeffrey
  4. received a new B.I.P.. Downloaded latest driver. The driver installs...the bip is listed under devices and printers. However, the proflightplugin does not install. I manually added the smarttech software. So...I can program the bip...save a profile...but FSX does not recognize the device. I've been at this problem since July...no luck with Madcatz tech support either. Run the driver install as admin. still no success. Anyone know where I can get just the proflightplugin software? Can't find just that on Saitek. Or,,,,any other thoughts about what might be going wrong would be appreciated. Thank you. respectfully,Jeffrey microsoft windows 7 home premium6.1.7601 service pack 1 build 7601system type x64-based PCprocessor intel core i7-2600K cpu @3.40GHz, 3701 Mhz, 4 C...bios award software international, f4 11/25/2010smbios 2/4physical mem 8.00GBvirtual mem 16.0GB
  5. I don't know if this will help...but I was having intermintent problems also....I switched to SPADE...checked the entries in the proecesses with task manager and found multiple entries that caused conflicts. I removed them...use only the spade drivers and have not had a problem since. These were all recomendations from the guys on here and it helped a great deal. Also,,,,I changed the power managment settings to none...that was causing things to happen after a long flight and I went to use the yoke or throttle and the USB port was idle. Hope this gives you some areas to poke around in.Jeffrey :)

  7. Just got the Backlit information panel. No disc included...paper saying to download latest driver. Did that. When I launched it to install....at the point where it says connect hardware and click next...it gives me an "error" message and does not complete the install. Tried running it as administrator...no help. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thank you.Repectfully,Jeffrey
  8. Thanks Julian...that is a possability... but I'm not done beating my head against the wall with what I've got. There's got to be a way.
  9. I've got two video cards..primary is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580,,,secondary is VisionTek Radeon 4320. Off the primary I'm running a trible head to go with three 32' monitors as the main display(1) also off of that comes a monitor for a vrinsight gps-5 (2). The secondary card runs an 8' (3) monitor for the PFD...and a regular 12' monitor for MFD, engin, and comm (4). I want to add a (5)th generic monitor for WX radar....but when I connecet it via HDMI...of which I still have a port on either card, it shows up in windows as being connected but its gray...and of course no output to the screen...I can't "extend the desktop" to it. I did get it to work once...but lost one of the other monitors; and I also can't remember what I did. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Jeffrey
  10. Guys...thank you for all the help. Power management helped alot of different things. And there were multiple task problems. Especially when I added SPAD...removing them did the trick. Runs like a charm. Thanks again.]Jeff
