  1. Hey, I've just embarked on my first fantasy airport just to encounter the same problems you are having. Apparently the "flatten polygon" is a misnomer. The might as well call it the invisible floor because it doesn't flatten anything, if you can get it to work at all. So I guess that leaves us to find only perfectly flat areas for our airports. I cannot believe that they charge $30 for AFX. You should not have to pay more than $5 for it, if that. What a disaster. My reason for posting is that I have also found that deleting the add-on .bgl file doesn't get rid of the airport designation. But I found a solution. I again went into AFX to find out what was going on, so I searched for the airport that I created (my self created airport designator was CRHS) and sure enough it was there. I said, well what the hell, load the file, and it asked me if I was sure, I said yes, and then I clicked "save as" to find out where the #^@% that file was. Sure enough, it was another .bgl file that was in a sub folder under the main scenery folder, so right there, I selected it, right clicked on it and deleted it. That solved my problem. Hopefully that solves your multiple airport issue as well. As for AFX, it is great for editing current airports, but is just a cryin' shame when it comes to creating your own airport. If anyone has an EASY way of making flat plateaus or flat depressions in the FSX earth, let me know. I don't have time to learn ADE or Microsofts editor yet. I'll probably have an aneurysm when I try though, as nothing ever seems easy when dealing with Microsoft.
