FSX SP and RC
Thanks, Ronzie I assume the same advice would be true if I install FS Acceleration ? I found out that that includes the two SP for FSX

FSX SP and RC
I have FSX and RC installed and it is working ok. I realize that there are SP1 and SP2 for FSX that I haven't installed. If I install the SP's, do I have to re-install RC to work properly ?

Adding FSX, already have FS2004
Ok, RC for FSX seems to be working now. Not sure what I did wrong initially. still curious as to if the 2 exe files should be named the same for FS9 and FSX.

Adding FSX, already have FS2004
I did the above. I have two separate folders, RCV4 and RCV4X. FS9 is working, but FSX is not, even though I clicked onj the exe file in the RCV4x folder for FSX. The .exe in the RCV4x folder is the same name as the file in the RCV4 folder. Both are named rcv4.exe. Is that correct ? When I installed it, I chose to install both FS2004 and FSX.

Adding FSX, already have FS2004
I have installed RC on my FS2004 and it is working with no issues. When I installed RC, I choose the install for FS2004 and it installed into a directory C:RC\RC4 Since then I have now installed FSX on my same machine. I would like to use both FS2004 and FSX with Radar Contact. What procedure do I need to do to add RC to FSX now that I already have RC installed with FS2004 ? What directory do I have it install the FSX files into ?

Disc will not install
Since I do not have a registered copy of fsuipc, and I currently use FS9, do I have to make these updates ? If i do get FSX and still don't have a registered FSUIPC, do I then need them ?

Disc will not install
i FINALLY got it to work ! I had to use 7-zip to unzip all the files. I had to do it two times, though. The first time, it gave a CRC checksum error on the file that was causing all the problems, but he second time I ran it, it unpacked all files. For some reason, Win 7 native unzip utility did not work on it. Never had a problem before with it. Anyway, I sent off for a registration key. thanks

Disc will not install
Tried the 2 suggestions you mention. I run as admin. I extract the files to C:\RC. It gets about 3/4 thru extracting and I get an unexpected error message. It always hangs up on the RCV43-1 file. It extracts the RCV43-0 file with no problem, but the other one is causing all the issues, even if I try to copy all the files on the disk to my HD. Any ideas ? I would hate to have to download if it is HUGE file, but I don't see any other option.

Disc will not install
I have sent an email to JD requesting a download link and hopefully they will reply soon. How long until they usually reply ? Another question. I currently have FS9. I will eventually get FSX. If I ever get RC to install, could I install now for FS9 and then at a later time go thru the setup again and install for FSX, or should I wait and do both at the same time, once I get FSX ?

Disc will not install
ronzie, It is not working. I right click on the exe file to run as admin. It asks me where to extract the file. It defaults to the CD drive, which won't work. I try to extract all files to the desktop and it will not extract the RCv43.1.bin file. I think the file is corrupt. To be clear, I just received the disc and I can't even get to the screen to ask for a registration key !

Disc will not install
I Just recieved my disc. I have Win 7. I clicked on the .exe file, then I extracted the files to my desktop. However it appears that RCv43.1.bin will not extract. It says Error 0x80004005 unexpected error. I tried to do the setup but it stopped. What do I need to do ??

I Assume That Radar Contact is History
I purchased the CD over the weekend, got a response, and an email that it was recently shipped. Waiting on the CD to arrive. I have seen a number of emails about people not getting their registration keys. I hope that won't be an issue.

RC flightplans with simbrief and ifly
thanks for the info. I found out that Simbrief DOES have an option to output flightplans to the format the Ifly uses .FLTPLAN even though the documentation doesn't note it.. Problem solved. looks like I will be purchasing RC.

RC flightplans with simbrief and ifly
I am thinking of purchasing RC. I know that it needs to have a flightplan to work and I currently fly a lot with Ifly 737 in FS2004. Could I export a flightplan from Simbrief into MSFS format, program the Ifly FMC with the same flightplan manually, and use the MSFS format for that route in RC ? will that work ? I am trying not to purchase separate flightplanner software, but trying to use RC with my Ifly 737
