  1. sorry to hear about the health issues Tom! definitely appreciate the service avsim has provided over the years. its often taken for granted, but you should know its appreciated by many others.
  2. just as an update. ended up upgrading to Evo. dont have the problem with ASE so must be related to 6.5 only. didnt get any response from the team though about that issue so not sure if they know what to do about that or if its something on the servers that changed which is causing that, i was not the only 6.5 user having this issue, pretty much all 6.5 users ive talked to have the same issue
  3. have you tried asking the folks at REX? their product, not hifi's
  4. AS6.5 seems to only be updating 2 or 3 times a day. mine gets stuck with the data at 1553Z, then around 0100Z it finally is able to update to that one. not sure if it happens again after that as im usually sleeping by then. been happening for atleast a couple of weeks or months now. its almost to the point where i dont even want to start activesky anymore while flying online, especially if theirs ATC online because its guaranteed to be different data. updating to Evo isnt an option at the moment, broke
  5. for a few months now, my Activesky 6.5 has been out of sync with the updates. its usually 2 hours or more behind the current metars. cant figure out whats causing. some days its closer, others like today it seems to be almost 4 hours behind as you can seen in the screenshot, current time 1937Z, active WX is 1553Z. ive tried to manually tell it to download the current metars. it connects to the server and downloads, and it sais it has, but continues to use 1553Z. figured maybe a file was corrupt or something, uninstalled, deleted the AS6 folder manually to remove any left over files, reinstalled, installed the updates. still stuck at 1553z current build with the SU3 updates. system DST is updated, double checked to make sure. happens with the VATSIM updates enabled and disabled. it will not sync to the VATSIM updates either way. Windows XP SP3 any help appreciated
  6. i appologize if this is the wrong section if anyone from FRF Studios runs into this, got a trojan warning from your downloads page at frfstudios.net. not sure if its embedded into that page or if it was off one of the ads. Avast picked it up though and blocked it couldnt grab contact info from the site so hopefully theyll see it
